I guess too many people were hyping this game up as the killer title the Vita needed. I looks to be a good game but not a game changer for the Vita. I honestly thought LBP Vita was the game to really put the Vita on the map but it came and went and did little to shift units.
Sub 5k (is that correct?) sales for Vita with so many big releases last week!?! What was released on the 3DS as those are great numbers!
Fair comment. Go do a search on youtube on "android tegra 3 games" and you will see some fantastic games on offer for tablets. Many of which can be played with a controller and only cost a few $.
This is how far tablet/smartphone gaming has come in only a few years, where will it be in another 2 or 3?
Maybe its aimed at family entertainment. I don't recall it ever being aimed at a more mature gaming audience. I actually like Kinect and some of the family game nights it has resulted in. Can't beat the joy I experince watching my 3 year old playing fruit ninja. Kinect is about having fun and to that extent it does remarkably well.
Forget boasting what's under the hood, show off the games. Give gamers a reason to want and get one. Getting into points scoring with specs is the wrong approach as tablets and smartphones will eclipse the Vita specs by this time next year. Look at the Nexus 7 from Google, quad core cpu with dual core gpu and 1gb ram and it sells for less than a Vita!
Vita has to offer gaming experiences that can only be experienced on the Vita. Arguing physical controls is what makes...
There is nothing really wrong with the hardware with the low res cam and lack of built in memory being the only real low points that come to mind. As for games, it has a solid library that will continue to grow I'm sure. However, why isn't it selling? 3 million in almost a year (based on the Japan release date) is really low all things considered.
I'm not really interested in what Vita owners think, I'm more interested in why those the Vita is targeted at h...
Kinect is great, just like EyeToy was on PS2. Both provide hours of FAMILY fun.
Make it more open world whilst maintaining high quality visuals.
Agreed. Using the DS3 with your tablet makes for excellent portable gaming.
I've tried quite a few games already and the touch controls work pretty well once you get use to them. Gran Turismo 2 is a blast but looks so dated.
I am waiting to see what the market does before I decide whether or not to buy a Vita. My son also wants one but of course its my money that would be paying for it.
Early adopters are convinced of a product's success even before it is. Unfortunately I can't afford to be so cavalier with my money so am being cautious. I have seen more to suggest the Vita will fail than succeed thus far and no amount of fanboy ranting will convince me of otherwise.

Based on your comment why should people then buy a Vita? If its not going to feature the games or apps people want right now why would someone buy it? Why not wait to see if Sony come through on its touted features.
Vita is definitely the underdog this Xmas in a marketplace that's more crowded than its ever been. If the Vita doesn't do well this xmas then I predict the Vita wont see a xmas 2013.
But consumers still had a reason to buy a PS3 early on as it was the cheapest blu ray on the market. There is no reason for consumers to buy a Vita right now at its current price point.
I'm so unsure about whether or not its going to be around in another 12 months that I'm not getting one as yet. The low sales numbers must be causing doubt in developers minds as well.
I'm sure existing Vita owners are assured of its success but although its not quite as bad it seems very PSP Go all over again. The Go was too expensive, Nintendo's DS was more preferred and Sony professed that competition from smartphones were the reason they had to lower sal...
Obviously the gameplay was not to his liking however, definitely seems to be in the minority over this one.
@new:
The masses don't care about the Vita and never will. Its a niche product and if Sony can't forge a big enough consumer base for it then it will get nowhere.
Explain to me how they wont push "gaming" boundaries.
That's because graphics are everything right?
Honestly, accept the game for what it is and have fun else steer clear of it. Simple as that.
Ok, if this does not spur sales through the holiday period then I predict that Sony will refocus their mobile efforts on smartphones and tablets in 2013.
So, just because someone can afford a Vita they should buy it over a 3DS? Or maybe real gamers don't resort to a spec pissing contest and opt for the device that best fits their lifestyle and gaming needs.
My children all want the 3DS or tablets over the Vita; not a decision based on price but rather what capabilities and software they are interested in.
