you people want the guns to be realistic and that's your idiot defense...yet none of you seem to complain about the fact that aiming isn't at all realistic, or that grenades aren't realistic. none of you mention how you can easily run n gun or jump around like an idiot. or spawn after you die, or regenerate health.
they aren't meant to be realistic. they are arcade games and in COD the guns have "realistic" power because the people that play COD a...
if you haven't had enough boring grinding and predictable, repetitive boss fighting, then yes...it is filling a void.
other wise...no, no it's not. Joel is right, it is pretty much a wow clone. and lets just say that it does 1 or 2 things that wow doesn't do, blizzard will just do what they've done with every other wow competitor: they'll adopt those features and release a major patch that does it better.
every gun in COD is practically a one shot kill. that's because COD is designed for noobs.
i didn't say wait til the end of a console's life. that isn't my "logic" at all.
as for your movie comparison...they aren't really the same thing. one means being out 15 bucks...the other means being out 300. and i am that way about movies, the last movie i paid to see in theaters was avatar...learned my lesson, don't pay to see movies in theaters anymore.
people are welcome to do whatever they want with their dollars...but tha...
You'd think, after the 3ds and the psp that people would have learned their lesson about being early adopters. guess not.
vita does look cool, but it'd be a huge mistake to get excited for it.
@below: i'm sure a company would prefer steady growth for a good product than fast early adoption followed by nothing. lets ask nintendo. people don't seem to realize how much weight their consumption holds. you don't reward a company for adverti...
He clearly says he has both a PS3 and a 360. Why do you even contribute to a conversation? You claim you're in your 20s and yet you can't read. And, you claim you buy any game you want, and yet your excuse for PS3 games not selling well is because you can't afford to buy em all.
If you had both systems, you could enjoy even more games; but you're too busy being a fanboy and an apologist for Sony. How about instead of trolling a 360 article, you goto one of ...
the fact that they are on different consoles is almost completely irrelevant at this point. most of us own both consoles by now. i own both, if i had just 60 dollars to spend and my choices were resistance and gears, gears would win by a landslide. in fact, i have the money for both, and i still passed on resistance. it's just not a very good franchise. 1 was fun, 2 sucked, 3 looks good, but not 60 dollars good.
people don't really need to rack their brains to fi...
complete lack of vision. perfect definition for this generation of people.
Could just start incorporating minecraft type concepts in open word games like skyrim.
maybe next gen.
We moved on to zombies and aliens.
a grading scale does not make a 5 average.
where have you seen a review site break down their scores to say that a 5 is average?
in test scores C is average...and a C is in the 70s.
i agree with you if you are saying that a 5 SHOULD be average...but as far as i can tell from just about every review site out there, they grade games the same way they grade tests... 5 is failing. 7 is average. 9-10 is an A.
gears is one of the few enjoyable games this generation that lets you play the whole campaign with a friend. so get a friend and enjoy it cuz it's loads of fun.
do you know how many times this exact sentiment has been expressed just on the n4g comments section alone? *yawn*
it's not that you're wrong, just that it's time for some new material
i guess cheesy, cliche one-liners are only acceptable when they are uttered by nathan drake from behind his chest-high walls.
"7. Aiming and Dealing Lethal Damage
This is pretty much a given"
Everything on this pointless list is a given.
that's completely irrelevant.
nintendo had a good price point for a piece of hardware that people might actually want...unfortunately, nobody wants a uni-tasker gaming device anymore. so...they lowered the price in hopes of bringing in more customers.
they aimed high, they overvalued their product, they learned a lesson and dropped the price.
that actually supports my point. early adopters of gimmicky equipment are retards. they shou...
Nintendo doesn't owe early adopters anything.
nobody forced you to buy the hardware day one. you should have known better than to dive in on a gimmicky piece of hardware without seeing what software could back it up. i don't feel bad for you people at all.
just stop reviewing games if you could give a sub-part game like this such an incredibly high score.
if you gave it an 8-9...fine. you just have low standards. but a 9.7? what a joke.
who cares? is any of this crap even worth discussing? some idiot used a 140 character retard website to insult someone, then some other idiot did the same thing in return. uh...news?
ah, makes sense. i would have guessed that the guy forgot he was black and didn't realize the greeter was gonna inspect his bags no matter what.
