i think they mean fans will go ballistic when they realize the first DLC they pay 10-15 dollars for is already on the disc.
but they're wrong, sony supports are such die-hard fans that they'll chant "genius" when ND does it.
similar tech, similar games on a 5inch screen when i already have that tech hooked up to a 50". not really following your logic.
also, where was the survey done? nobody asked me. i wouldn't buy a uni-tasker portable system even if i could make like the federal reserve and print unlimited money. cell phone and tablet tech is moving so rapidly, we'll have multi-taskers with more impressive hardware within 2-3 years.
I thought the winning strategy was "don't aim?"
that has nothing to do with my point.
doesn't it make you wonder why the headline isn't about Zelda? or how about something neutral..."Edge Scores for November."
I don't think Uncharted 4 on ps4 will have the impact that Halo 3 had on 360. a new MGS on the other hand...
I predict MS will announce their new console at E3 2012 for a 2013 launch. Sony will wait to see what MS showcases and what the price point will be and followup a year later. I'm sure Sony would like to be first to market with a real next gen system, but i don't think they can afford the risk.
i'll tell you why the article fails....because it's absolutely right. the reason the gaming industry is so profitable is because we live in a time unlike any other. a time where people are MORE attracted to the most mundane, repetitive, cliche experiences you can have. i haven't seen a good movie in years. there are almost no modern bands worth listening to. the early - late 90s was the last time we saw any attempt at creativity in the music industry. and in gaming, we'v...
i didn't pre-order it. i'll still probably buy it. but since there were no enticing pre-order bonuses, i'll just grab it at walmart at midnight if i decide to get it.
still on the fence though. so many other really exciting titles in november.
*awaits disagrees for suggesting other titles might be more worthy of my money than the sacred uncharted franchise*
Much appreciated. Fortunately, years of exposure to Daniel Kayser have numbed me to any physical pain bad, game-related puns may cause.
Oh boy, a pun!
here's a tip: when using the title of the game you're discussing as a description for something related to said title, you don't need to say "pun intended," it's implied.
Not having a sense of humor about something as insubstantial as gaming makes you a pretty sad, pathetic person.
If i'm on the fence about a game, i'll rent it first from redbox or w/e. if that game is primarily MP, i won't get that opportunity with this new requirment. and being a somewhat-smart consumer, i usually won't take the risk without a test run.
i can't blame a company for doin this if they are trying to maximize profits, but they should probably realize that they are going to lose sales on the lesser known franchises. uncharted probably won't take m...
One of his complaints about RE4 is that you never have to figure out anything for yourself ever. so i wonder how he feels about games like uncharted.
as for the video itself...pretty worthless. unfunny complaints about an 8 year old game. meh.
What 360 owner (that uses the system regularly) doesn't have a Gold account?
it definitely looks much better, but the characters don't even look like themselves. if it were a movie, i'd think they recast the characters with the original actor's stunt doubles. Also, Elena's nose looks a lot bigger in the new build.
@above: please stop declaring GOTY for games that you haven't fully experienced yet. There are a ton of big titles that are probably going to be in contention for that title, many of which haven't been released yet...
what kind of moron would disagree with this statement?
there is a solution to this problem though...STOP SUPPORTING THE COMPANIES THAT DO THIS!
you know who doesn't have to be online to play these games? the people who pirate them.
First all, yeah, district 9 does not look like a big budget movie. it's shot well for the budget, but you can tell it didn't have a massive budget.
second, obviously you aren't terribly familiar with the halo story. so i'll enlighten you a bit. In the Halo story...the events leading up to landing on Halo...there are no less than 2 massive space battles; but even without those, you are still talking about a story driven by combat with aliens...big scale batt...
While i don't expect hollywood to EVER make a good movie based on a video game, i find it to be very strange that they aren't taking a shot at Halo. if any franchise has a chance to be a box office smash, it's halo.
BUT! it can't be a low budget movie or it'll flop...it's going to have to be VERY special effects driven.
It's the hardcore GAMERS that would embrace gimmicky devices like Kinect and Move. it's the casual gamers that buy madden and call of duty.
there is a lag in the MP as well. i haven't played MP for about 2 weeks, so maybe they fixed it. but it was definitely there.
i must say, i' surprised i don't see many apologists saying "it's to give a weighty feel" like they did with killzone.
