first off...microsoft helped create gears and the game was play tested using the microsoft game studios. so it's quite unlikely you'll see it on ps3.
second. it's not the 360 fanboys who don't want to see gears on ps3. it's the idiot ps3 fanboys who criticize anything and everything that's exclusive on 360.

there was nothing AMAZING about it. these are exaggerated claims. i'm so sick of this BS hype machine from the fanboys. it was an adverture platformer. but i use the term platformer lightly. basically you walked up to rock and jumped on it. you ran to the edge and jumped again. it was the same experience every time and there was nothing puzzling or complex about it.

It is unrealistic to have as little color as killzone, resistance, and gears have. but it makes the game look better. if you want a pretty game that actually looks realistic, play crysis. it has the best graphics of any game and it actually has colors.
it's a trick these companies are using to make your eyes see better graphics by eliminating bright colors. they are removing contrast so your eyes don't notice the flaws.
EDIT: Halo has a full color spectrum too....

The bottom line is this game has done nothing new since the day it was released about 5 years ago. The introduction of flying mounts doesn't change anything.

@the ps3 fanboys: maybe if the ps3 were a bigger contender, the company wouldn't have to focus on the game as if 360 would be it's best software seller. use logic before you run your mouths about how 360 is holding us back. 360 leads in software sales week after week, of course companies will cater to it.
gears2 is like taking a pepperoni pizza and turning it into a meat lovers.
resistance2 is like taking a pepperoni pizza and turning it into a bunch more pepperoni pizzas.
gears 1 is still played by more ppl than the total ppl that bought resistance. they took the winning formula and improved on all the aspects, beefed up the graphics and environments slightly, added some water effects and some destructible elements.
resistance2 still has no environment ...
In halo you can edit any map however you want and share that for free too. I think you are making too big of a deal about this. You can't charge for content made by the users. well you can...if you're sony and it's LBP...
The price drop WILL make a difference. neither system has a clear advantage over the other. they both have good exclusives, they both get most of the 3rd party games, so shut up about it.

no game on either console runs at a tru high def image. it's scaled up. the only system that puts out TRUE HD is the PC.
also neither system can do much of any anti aliasing or anisotropic filte...

what do you mean i have nothing else coming? i have a ps3, 360 and a great PC. i'm pretty sure i'm covered. and despite the 10+ great games coming out this year, i still consider this to be a must have. and just because i said it looks good doesn't mean you get to assume i only own a 360. and even if i did, i'd still have a lot to look forward to.

i have a first day system too. still works fine. and i leave it on all the time. i just make sure i keep it well ventilated. and my PS2 never broke but after about a year i couldn't watch DVDs because the audio and video lost sync. then again, i hardly ever played my PS2 cuz the graphics were pretty lousy. it was basically just a GTA console.
how personally you all took it that i said that game was 5 hours. it's a short game. i don't see how that warrants such hostility. i actually got an ignore cuz of that, lol. and probably a ton of negative feedback. and to the person that said i need a name change. wouldn't common sense tell you that if other ppl are saying 7-9 and i'm saying 5 that i can't be exaggerating THAT much? and by the way, uncharted is about 5 hours...not 12. and bioshock is more like 25 cuz it's so good you have to play it twice.
