The way Dragon Quest 11 turned out gives me hope they actually could pull it off. DQ 11 has all the ingredients of a Chrono Trigger game, they even nailed the Toriyama art style in 3D.

Being able to jack cars is a hallmark, a mainstay of the GTA series. Perhaps you are the 14 year old here and hence literally not around when GTA became popular or maybe you don't know what GTA actually stands for. These types of systems, particularly in the context of an open world are made to make the world and the simulation more believable as CDPR might put it. While UE4 is very extensible how far that goes is very dependant on what version of the Engine is being used. What is built into the engine is also dependant on what version is being used. In Addition a developer might lock the version at some point meaning they stop upgrading the engine version.

Probably due to the difference in the technology used to build the game. The luminous tool powers FFXV whereas Unreal Engine 4 powers FF7R. When you own the tech you can do what you like with it, when one uses third party tools that becomes a lot more complicated.
It appears to be gameplay blended with cinematics. When Senua is running toward the troll you can see the camera being panned pretty much as one would pan a camera from behind the player in game. If you look closely you can even see the cuts where the cinematic and gameplay camera switch over.

It means the game is missing stuff included at launch in prior Halo games like Forge and campaign co-op because the developers reckon they can add it later. Should the game not launch a broken mess they will likely actually be able to spend time working on adding those missing features as opposed to fixing the game.

I don't think either of the games broke ground but they did present both developers applying their trade to a similar genre to great effect. Returnal has the DNA House Marque's twin stick mayhem the same way Death Loop has the DNA of Arkane's Immersive Sims applied somewhat to a Rouge lite skeleton.

Why wouldn't they be nervous? Upgrade systems and outpost clearing etc has become a standard template for cookie cutter open world games.

Sony WWS is just different gravy when it comes to making nice visuals. Even so the visual palette for Halo Infinite is just dull by the series own standards. I recently played Halo 2 anniversary and some of the outdoor environments hold up rather well, having dense and varied foliage, cliff faces with moss, vines, overhanging vegetation and trees with twisted up bark.

They won't all come day 1 but some definitely will. Nixxes used to work alongside other teams to bring ports of games on day 1. If there is any team that would be able to assist development by providing day one ports it's them.
What does that actually accomplish? It will result in Microsoft getting games they ready have. These deals might become good but only if Microsoft can get these teams to a new level.
All those exclusive games will not make a difference if they are no good. EA Ubi and ABK have been in the mud for years. I hope MS can raise ABK.
