who needs a 3ds
reggie had to stretch his arse real wide to get that one out
the list is total BS, I'm not sure whether this satire or serious.
Firstly; Metroid is not a full first person shooter its and adventure game first, if it was a first person shooter it would be 1 a dimensional "get to the waypoint" game and full of "action set pieces", Metroid games have always wanted players to explore their surroundings something no other shooter had done,I would like to know the previous games that came before it I certainly haven't played them. Have you even played a metroid game?
to innovate is t...
Nintendo always craft their hardware according to the software they want to build and how they want it to work. In their eyes its probably sufficient power and don't be surprised if the Gamepad is the fruit of a game idea someone at Nintendo EAD had.
the wii U success falls squarely on whether publishers and Devs take the EPIC Games attitude and work on making their engines very scalable, that way ports would be much easier to handle.
and yet despite the boost in power we got this gen compared to last some developers have still found ways to make games with shitty A.I and crappy graphics Mo power, Mo problems IMO. The main problem is not power its design. Nintendo are specialists in the latter. like the Cell, powerful but awkwardly designed
what they should have released in 2006 was skyward sword
looks similar, i heard Ubisoft are going cross develop games for the old and next gen when for at least 2 years. The next gen version's will probably have better lighting, run at 60 FPS, higher Res and more detailed textures. It might not be as big of a difference we might have hoped for. This is only Ubisoft though, I wonder who else might adopt this strategy, we might not see a real a next gen game for a while.
the link just in case anyone thinks I pulled the Ubisoft th...
I love Nintendo for still believing there should be a difference between games and films not all need to be a Michael bay, action-set-piece blockbuster to be amazing. its good games are trying to be bigger and more emotive but not at the expense of gameplay. Nintendo's introduction of motion control should have been as pivotal as when it introduced 3d games and the anologue stick, they are looking for extra degrees of control instead people prefer to stay in the cave
That's what the GPGPU is for,you can offload these tasks to the GPU. How well that would work is another question entirely.
a review number shouldn't completely form the basis of your purchase but it helps sometimes. Just thinking of all those poor souls who purchased alpha protocol at full retail price,
should have read the review.
all of the best selling games this gen where low tech and in standard def. That alone proves they had every reason to believe people didn't want HD, it may have been stupid but it was true. People didn't buy HD TV's because of consoles though it helped, its because they became cheaper and were better. HD tech is cheaper than it was 7 years ago from Nintendo's point of view its the perfect time to release a HD console, even though Nintendo is selling at a loss I doubt its as muc...
its because most people who brought wii consoles have no idea how the specs on a console translate into games unless your a software or hardware engineer or just in the know. How does it benefit an ordinary person to know hardware specs. People talk about Specs as if they are going to start developing games for the wii U, the only people specs matter to are the people who need to use it.
ZombiU will be a good a game as long as you approach it right, ZODIAC is spot on if you watch the the gamespot review there is no point in the game where he isn't surrounded by at least 4 zombies I'm sure the reviewer was playing it like an action game, sometimes if you see a zombie or 2 alone avoid them rather than kill them. The fact that he praised the multiplayer for its faster pace and being more action intense proves it. At least Ubisoft is willing to take some risks on new hardw...
sweet! tell me more about the WIIU's cpu what are the clock speeds, how many threads per core, what about the gpu core, shader and memory speed. it must be a privilege working for both IBM and AMD.(before you go there Devs have said the clock speeds are lower not that it was less powerful)
the wii didn't fail 3rd party Devs couldn't be bothered to make unique experiences on the console and I don't mean stripped ports, the wii is a platform it has tools and must be used effectively Nintendo seemed to do it even Miamoto has been saying do Devs there's no Secret or no hidden tools we use. Alot of 3rd party devs don't take nintendo seriously because they are still at that stage where only men play video games and a man's game has to be "epic" and &...
the damn button layout really ! i play with an xbox control more than with my ps3 so to me it feels wrong having the dpad on the top left on PS3 controller but you learn to live with it. Anyone who uses a 3DS will find the WII U set up familiar
better late than never hey
Microsoft are going to integrate the kinect into the nextbox so what makes people think there will not be a compromise on how much money they spend on power, the kinect is essentially Microsofts GamePad. Only Sony possibly have the means to really boost power under the hood but since their credit downgrade they might not get as much investment to do so.
