nintendo will be fine. they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
the best game ever? as in all games ever created uncharted 2 is the best? no, not even remotely close. its a good game, but it would be so extermely far down the list when i take into account all the games ive played since the nintendo days. uncharted and uncharted 2 were more like a movie and less like a game. couldn't really get into it as much as everyone else.
its easily a top pick for this gen though as its a good cinematic experience.
i wish/hope its true. until i hear an official announcement i rather not get my hopes up just to be disappointed.
ive been hoping for a jak collection as well as a ratchet and clank collection. although, im actually pretty surprised those 2 collections haven't been put together already.
yah pretty much. still pretty stoked, but im definitely less excited than i was based solely on the console beta. playing on metro is really fun, but feels distant from battlefield. on that map its pretty much just people running and gunning trying to get their k/d up, there are no vehicles, and there isn't very much destruction. my excitement level was at a 10, but now im at like an 8.
i wish console players could jump on caspian border as that map looks awesome and mor...
im not one for gamestop preorder incentives, but i like the fact that i can take my old games in and get 30 to 50 percent more credit when put towards a pre order. i cant just toss down 64 dollars on the first day for every game so it really helps my gaming dollar go farther.
this game is looking amazing. im surprised by how little attention its receiving. im highly anticipating this title
true as im sure the experience varies from gamer to gamer. for me personally, the game was almost unplayable. it was fun up until i lost my save, after that i just couldn't bring myself to start over when i could just play something else. even so i was overlooking the audio issues, screen tearing, pop in and spawning issues i experienced. it could have been such a better game and i would still be playing if those issues didn't occur.
dead on arrival? not likely.
increased 3rd party support and nintendos 1st party, they'll be just fine.
say what you will, but i will continue to buy mario and zelda because the core gameplay is outstanding. it offers what i cant find on other platforms. same games over and over, but there is little competition or alternatives to rival those titles. the improvements on gameplay and design are enough to keep me coming back to a great experience.

opening day online users has nothing to do with sales. i am unsure how you can make that correlation.
surprisingly they do this quite often with a lot of pre orders. ive got the blockbuster games pass so im in there a lot. i guess no one ever really talks about it though.
its a pretty good deal to be honest. blockbuster is really good about stocking day 1 releases for rent. so you could essentially buy a game a rent a bunch of awesome games as well.
haha yah that happened to me as well but she wasn't invisible. i kept dying on that fight so it took me like 4 tries. in that 4th playthrough i was running away during the sequence, but she wasn't chasing me like normal. i turn around and shes stuck on like the corner of the wall still sprinting endlessly. i just shot her until she died. pretty cheap, but ill take it.
the whole ending sequence in mgs4 was absolutely stunning. from the moment i set foot on shadow moses to the time where the credits were rolling was absolutely perfect. if youve followed the mgs series from the beginning it was easily one the most emotional and gripping endings to experience. so many great moments in that last section.
its all about games, not how "hardcore" the console is. the wii underperformed technically, but still managed to create some of the best gaming experiences this gen.
If you want a blu ray player get a ps3 or a hard drive as your defining feature go buy a 360. Its obvious nintendo isn't taking the same approach as everyone else, whether thats a good thing or not, but i still have no idea how that makes it hardcore or not.
before i play any game i always read the instruction manual first. not necessarily as a "how to", but more for back story, artwork or additional features i may have missed. for me, the instruction manual is a necessity. when its missing it just feels less complete somehow as if im missing part of the actual game.
i think what he's saying is a good game is a good game regardless, that is doesn't necessarily have to use a story as a crutch. you can be immersed in a world with little to no story. nintendos line up is a good example of that.
i mean there are plenty of games outside nintendo that dont have a story or the story is a throw away, but are still immersive to the experience of the game at its core.
