i agree to some extent, yet i also disagree. i mean im not sure if the wiiu can outsell or become as popluar as the wii, but there are a plethora of loyal nintendo fans who have been waiting for them to jump into hd. well to be honest a TON of games get criticised for being to linear. why would uncharted be an exception? it doesn't necessarily translate into a bad thing, but i see games get minor deductions for linearity pretty often.
the wiiu will do just fine. i doubt it will be as successful as the wii, but its highly unlikely it will die out like the dreamcast. yet of course it will be weaker than ps4 and 720, but that means nothing.
it'll be nintendos first hd console which a lot of fans, like myself, are anticipating. plus i can still play my library of wii games which is nice.

illegalyouth is correct. the open world is open at all times. certain areas are locked at the beginning of the game if that's what you mean. yet once you open a door, gate, area, etc. you are free to go back to said area whenever you want.
is it? truthfully, i know very little about those 2 titles as i haven't played them yet. all i saw in the article was 2 monster hunter games for 15 and i was sold haha. For the price, that's a great value seeing as how in depth and long a monster hunter game can take to complete. ill have to check them out for sure.
yep. capcom clearly has a new dlc model. offer the dlc as new disc only packages. that way if existing costumers have want to play the new features they have to repurchase the entire game basically. off the record and umvc are good examples of what i expect to see from capcom in the near future.

yah, to be honest im a little worried about the ps3 version. i mean i know they have said countless times that the ps3 version will be fine, but I usually dont trust the company or PR reps, that are trying to sell me the product, to inform me of how great it will be. I think im gonna wait a few weeks to see how it goes before I invest my money on an unsure product.

I agree completly and like reddeadite said below, off the record is basically a dlc repackaging and one of the reasons its 40 dollars. Yet, i guess i should wait for "off the record premium edition" that way i can get all the dlc from a dlc title.

They aren't against one another. Both EA and Activision have been trying to hype up their product by down playing their competition. In reality its just for exposure and marketing. They are not even remotely identical games, but gamers like to think they are going head to head in some sort of deathmatch competition to the finish. Cod gamers will still play cod and bf gamers will still play battlefield. A few will switch, but nothing will change.
