They're likely just retaining the trademarks so no one can take it from them. Happens all the time.
Would be nice if we actually got a new game though, but that's wishful thinking expecting anything decent from KONAMI at this point.
"SX power will be wasted only for resolution/FPS increase, and no dev will be able to used those 12TF fully in they game design."
This is what I've been saying for months! Simply bumping up the resolution and FPS isn't going to make a game 'next generational'. The very core design and world of the game needs to improve. How the hell are they going to do that with Xbox One from 2013 tech holding them back? Even if you remove Xbox One, you now have S...
Microsoft makes more hardware announcements than software announcements. In this industry, it really should be the opposite. (*facepalm*)
This shouldn't have been posted because the sticker bonus was very time limited, taken from Wal-Mart's website:
Walmart Exclusive: Get a free Mario Sticker Set when you purchase Super Mario 3D All-Stars on Walmart.com! This gift with purchase offer will be added to Walmart.com pre-orders made before 9:30 AM PST 9/4/2020.
Don't pre-order if you expect to get the stickers. Wal-Mart acting like Nintendo and making everything very strict time lim...
You can also buy some rubber sticky pads to place under the PS4, does the same thing for $5 or less. Got them at the Home Depot and use them on all my HD consoles to improve air flow under the system.
Even though I have all my retro consoles hooked up to SD CRT TVs, using HD Retrovision component cables making them look amazing, I still would have loved backwards compatibility on PS5 for classic consoles.
PS3 had PS1 and PS2 software emulation.
PS4 had PS2 and PSP software emulation (for Parappa and Patapon).
PS5 could easily do every previous PS console via software emulation, and that would have been great to see.
I play retro games more tha...
As far as Mattrick sunk Xbox, Spencer will sink it even further.
At least Mattrick knew to create new exclusive games for the damn platform, even if they weren't of the best quality, its a start. Six years later and Spencer hasn't started yet.
Honestly, those tweet are humorous, and I expected nothing less. Good job.
True, for outside play, I have a modded 3DS, modded PSP, modded PS Vita, modded Switch. I don't need cloud gaming, I'm all set.
I tried it on my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 connected via ethernet, and played Gears Ultimate on it. The first time it worked great, but every time after that it was so laggy it became unplayable. I eventually gave up, was really hoping it would work better.
Nothing beats playing games locally, and nothing ever will.
Same thing happened in 2013. What a shame, was hoping Microsoft could put up a fight this round.
This is exactly it. The very game worlds devs can create on PS5 and Xbox Series X can not be scaled down to PS4 and Xbox One. Just toning down the graphics won't be enough. So if you're making a PS4 / Xbox One version, then the PS5 / Xbox Series X version is going to be gimped in terms of world design / physics / AI, etc.
Which is exactly why I have been against MS not making games specifically for Xbox Series X hardware as the baseline minimum. Such a shame!
The first two games were good. Since they were developed by AKI Corp.
The third game was made by EA Chicago, who made such a bad fighting game that EA abandoned their studio. Activision then bought the studio and they were renamed to Robomodo. They then proceeded to make 4 garbage Tony Hawk games in a row, and then shut down.
If there's another game, and its not made by AKI Corp., then move on.
Except that it happened before, do you willfully choose not to remember history?

"Apple began to struggle after its board ousted Steve Jobs from the company in 1985. When Jobs returned to Apple in 1997, it was close to bankruptcy."
Thanks for the laugh! I wish I could upvote you 3 times!
As others have said, I got The Simpsons Arcade Game for 'free' on PS+, but when it went on sale for the last time before it delisted, I couldn't buy it because of this stupid flaw. I'm not PS+ at the moment, but renewing my subscription is the only legal way for me to play the game.
Now that I have a modded PS3 I can play the game whenever I'd like, but for others in the same situation without a modded console, they can't play without renewing PS+.
Microsoft backtracking reminds me of 2013.
Here we go again...
Yeah Sonic Heroes has an old PC port, and it requires some fixes to make it work these days. Would be nice if SEGA actually put in some work for their back catalogue (beyond Sonic as well, such as JSRF).
Unleashed is sort of on PC via Generations mod (day time stages only which should satisfy 99.9% of players).
Spider-Man is the only game that appeals to me, thankfully I can just play more retro games this year, which are honestly more enjoyable for me than modern day GAAS grind-fests.
You're right, but they also discontinued them because they weren't selling well. Consoles that sell well remain on store shelves, consoles that don't sell well get removed from store shelves. There's a reason why MS has removed 2 consoles from shelves, and soon the One S will be removed within a year's time.
