NeoGaf, which stood for 'new gaming age forum'. Terrible nazi mods there, even after a mass exodus that forum is still chugging along. Ugh.
He can't be bothered to name examples, he's too busy playing filler games on GamePass for $1 a month, believing that this will help continue to fund more big budget high quality first party games.
THPS is in my top 3 favorite series ever, so I'm happy that the franchise is back, I just want it to be good!
The last four games were crap by Robomodo, and I believe Vicarious Visions will do a far better job, but will it be good enough to match the legendary NeverSoft original work? I hope so.
And I really hope they announce THPS 3 and THPS 4 remaster collection next.
Then THUG and THUG 2 and THAW! If this happens I won't hate Activision as much as I used...
My PC was built a few years ago, sometime in 2016 I think.
Intel i7-6700K not overclocked (I really need to do that)
Nividia GTX 980
32GB RAM
MS did control third party developers in the past, actually. They MANDATED 720p and 2x AA for all games (they never really enforced it much though). However they dropped it eventually, but yes, it did happen in the past.

This would make me so happy! I was recently playing Gears 5 on PC, and when I first installed it the game chose default settings of 1440p running at 20-30 FPS depending on how hectic the action was.
Eventually I was tried of the sluggish FPS and decided to check out the graphical options, and I ended up dropping the resolution down to about 800p, which made the visuals look far worse, but it now ran at 50-60 FPS and overall looked much smoother and was more enjoyable to pla...
AC 1 through 3 I was the biggest fan and would defend the series on message boards, but now once the series changed with Origins, I too changed. I'm the guy hating on the series constantly because of Ubisoft's terrible business practices.
They didn't turn AC into a 'fake RPG' to make gamers happy or make higher quality games, they did it as business decision. Its much easier to offer more intrusive microtransactions into your shitty fake RPG game than it...
"You can easily get 100 hours in both Origins and Odyssey without dlc. They're not exactly lacking in content."
That's not the problem. The issue is that its 100 hours of crappy gaming. Origins and Odyssey both aren't good enough to be played. "Content" for the sake of "content" is meaningless, its all just mindless filler. I've beaten both games, got Platinum trophy in Origins, spent 80 hours+ in Odyssey hoping it'll lead s...
I watched half the show and it was boring. Maybe 1 or 2 games looked kinda interesting?
Lots of dumb shooters, and Madden which I know appeals to the Xbox crowd quite a bit.
Maybe I'll watch the other half some time... maybe I won't. :x
The fact that I have no interest in MS hardware or software is proof that they haven't learned anything. And I don't expect things to change when they reveal their almighty "15 development first party s...
I haven't played Blitzball in years, since FFX was a new game back on PS2. I remember the first game that you must play as part of the story was incredibly hard, I restarted it many times until I won. I eventually beat every team and got every unlock in the game except for the damn lightning bolt dodging.
I got 197 / 200 and gave up when I got hit that far in.
Both terms are correct given the authors feelings towards the event.
A marketing misstep; the first of many to come for this new generation.
No that would require having talented development teams that are given enough time to craft a well-polished video game. Microsoft is not interested in that, what they want are B-tier games filler for gamepass, such as Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3, Recore, Masterchief Collection (multiplayer was broken for 3 years after launch!).
Indeed, this guy spouting absolute hogwash. Microtransactions literally have no positive benefit at all for games or gamers. Not even for the developers who made the game that scam idiots out of their money!
Activison made 956 million dollars from just microtransactions alone. Also last year, they had massive layoffs. Hmmm! If all that micro-money can't save Activison developer jobs, then why the hell would anyone believe that Activison would use that money to make bett...
Damn, that is some deep level cybersquatting trolling right there. Oh well, lets be honest with ourselves, Ubisoft would have ruined this game with endless grinding, filler side quests, massive open world with nothing interesting to do, microtransactions out the wazoo.
As big of a fan I am of the PoP games, its for the best that it remains dormant as long as Ubisoft remains shit.
Code Veronica was the first game in the series I completed, and I'll be replaying it again soon. Yeah, it makes sense to remake the old games IN ORDER and skipping CV is illogical.
Exactly what I was thinking, last-gen games with a new coat of paint. True 'next-gen games' need to be something that the previous gen couldn't do. Not just a resolution and texture map bumps, or better shadows and particle effects.
I recently played Gears 5 campaign on my PC (free trial from MS on Steam), and I enjoyed it, but it felt like an Xbox 360 game. Nothing new other than better graphics than what Xbox 360 could do. If you scaled the graphics down enoug...
It can be hard having to let go of your favorite franchises, but I agree, it could be for the best. Stories have to end, otherwise what's the point of telling a story without the conclusion? Even though the Uncharted fan in me would like to see Nate back, the issue is when have we had enough? How many times can you bring him back over and over again without it feeling forced?
They could make something fresh and different. Perhaps a game without shooting elements? It fee...
No way was Days Gone Sony's best new franchise, it was one of the worst big budget games from Sony the entire generation. And yes, I've played and completed it, and got some enjoyment from it, but I was so bothered by all the endless resource gathering. Ugh, what a pain, sick of these open world games copying from the Ubisoft trash game design book, so I'm playing less of these games as time goes on.
What happened to open world games without infinite grind? Ever...
