This is 100% correct. CEOs are not looking to simply remain rich, they're looking to continuously get richer as time goes on, as well as improve their stock price. In order to do that they have to continuous increase revenue / profit.
The extra money doesn't go to the developers, and most of it doesn't go back into new games, it goes to the useless idiot greedy executives who simply want more more more.
I literally had the same thought. 100 million is a pretty good number, but GTA V on its own has completely toppled this long-running franchise! Insane to imagine that.
I own 3D Dot Heroes sealed. Its still in my back log, dang it, I've always meant to play it.
But now a sealed copy will be worth a lot, so I'll play the game through other means.

I just completed RE 3 on Dreamcast today for the second time, I haven't played the game in at least a decade so I've completely forgotten everything about it. Total play time was 8 hours and 9 minutes. I honestly felt it was a bit too long but still satisfying, though I know people can speed run it very quickly.
One day I'll check out the remake.
I think it'll be hard starting this game from scratch unfortunately, since almost all the players are now level 99 with ultimate end-game equipment. This game is newbie-friend in the sense that the difficulty has been dramatically dropped for all story missions and you can now take computer allies with you to form a full party. But its simply not the same as playing with other humans.

Am I weird for thinking its the reverse? Xbox One would hold back Series X games when it comes to game design, not so much visuals (though the visuals are unimpressive for a '12TFLOP the beast').
Its easier to scale visuals than game design, since the actual world, mechanics, physics, AI have to be identical on both platforms to allow for cross-platform online play.

I know one thing: Ubisoft stopped getting my money years ago. AC Syndicate season pass was the last time I gave them my money. And it could very well remain that way for many more years to come.
All they make these days are grind filler open-world borefests. So much "content" that's awful, even the main quest line is mostly boring busy work. They have been overspending for their games since Black Flag.

It'd be amazing to play it at 4K 60 frames per second though! The game has an unlocked frame rate which means its no problem having it run smoother, if only the hardware was there that could take advantage of it.
You can currently play it on PC at 60 FPS which is awesome. I need to do that soon.
No, the GCN version sucks compared to the PSone version. Worse dialog, worse controls (yes, really), and they completely BUTCHERED the soundtrack.
I've completed the PSone version 13+ times. I've completed the GCN version 0 times because its so boring. I always tell myself to go back to the GCN version because I am the biggest MGS fan, but I just don't have the motivation to do so. What a shame! What a waste of time, money, and resources.
It makes sense to release Pikmin 3 before Pikmin 4 on the Switch, as opposed to releasing them in the opposite order. Now that P3 is coming out soon on Switch, expect the P4 announcement perhaps late this year or early next year?
It would have been better if P1-3 collection were released on Switch and sold for $60 though.
