I have played the game more than I'm willing to admit. Even beat all the DLC as well, and nearly S ranked everything including the DLC.
The game had good graphics for the time, and a fantastic soundtrack. If only it had an extra year of development it could have been a decent game. People keep harping on the kiss at the end of the game as if its a big deal. It really isn't (people kiss their cats and dogs all the time, and no one freaks out about that).

I was just playing Sonic Adventure 1 on Dreamcast last week, and had a good time. There's no reason to abandon 3D Sonic games.
The issue has always been SEGA wanting to rush out incomplete or unpolished games. The executives running SEGA are so ignorant that they don't realize if you spend more time (and thus more money) fully completing and polishing a 3D Sonic game, not only will it sell better (more return on investment), but you'll also grow the fanbase.

Its literally the lack of dev time as you said. The problem is that Nintendo is willing to fund and nurture Mario games, which is how we end up with Sunshine / Galaxy / Odyssey / etc.
SEGA wants to rush out Sonic games, and this has always been the biggest issue. Even if a particular game has potential, the games turn out poorly because of game design flaws that weren't fully figured out, bugs, control issues, constant loading screens, etc.
Sonic 2006...
Even as a big fan of the original Xbox and Xbox 360, I have no desire to purchase an Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S, or Xbox Series X.
They aren't doing anything right. Gamepass means nothing to me. Bethesda releases mostly boring slog grindy garbage. MS purchasing Zenimax shows just how out of touch they truly are, buying one of the worst publishers out there.
The E3 show had only 3 Japanese games, one of them old, and two of them from the same ...
While I agree this is price is outrageously high, and I have no desire to purchase them, but you've completely ignored the most expensive aspect of these controllers, and that is the human labor, time and effort required. This is a manual process, right? There's no robotic assembly line disassembling and, modding, then reassembling controllers, correct? This means the additional $190 is going to the employees working on them.
People always complain about livable wag...
No, it'll release in 2022 as a buggy disgrace, just like all previous Bethesda boring WRPGs.
I really appreciate that Insomniac has given us the choice of not one, but TWO different 60 FPS modes. This is how you give players options! Bravo!
Exactly what I was thinking. Which rock has this guy been living under?
I use DualShock 1 to play THPS1+2 on PS4. Works perfectly. I've also played NiGHTS on Sega Saturn with a DualShock 4. With USB adapters almost any controller can work on almost any platform.
I beat the game, and don't want a sequel either, but for entirely different reasons. I hated the game design, constantly having to collect the same items over and over again. Within the first 2 hours of the game, I was tired of collecting scrap, and yet it persisted throughout the entire playthrough. Its such a easily-identifiable (Sons of Anarchy + The Walking Dead) Ubisoft generic open-world game.
The first act of the game was straight trash, without the upgrades, bot...
It's not the same game, at least we hope not.
The old Sonic collections, use sloppy, barely acceptable emulation. In more recent years, Christian Whitehead has reprogrammed Sonic 1, 2, and CD from the ground up, including a wonderful new feature called widescreen.
M2 has also ported the games via emulation (3DS and Switch ports), but they were high quality, and also featured new content.
The fans are hoping that Sonic 3, Sonic &...
I never heard of this interview, but I would have rejected it back then, just like I reject GamePass today.
Most modern games are junk, don't care how cheap the subscription is, the vast majority of newly released games aren't even worth your *time*.
Thankfully flash carts exist. I'll gladly pay for 1 cart and play everything on it, including translations, balance patches, new fan levels, etc.
I have flash carts for my Famicom, Super Famicom, Genesis (which includes Master System, Game Gear, as well as Sega CD), and Nintendo 64.
And of course ODEs for disc based systems as well. Buying overpriced games off ebay is such a waste.
I've played this game a lot and had a blast (pun intended!). I know that Bomberman Battle Royale may sound off-putting to some, but give it a try, I don't care for any of the popular Battle Royale games, but this one is different. Don't ignore this game when it arrives for your platform of choice.
You can play as chibi versions of classic gaming characters from Naked Snake, to Pyramid Head, to Simon Belmont, and more.
The people who know how to make these TVs are dying off. I've picked up 5 SD CRT TVs for free off Craigslist, and been playing tons of retro gaming on original hardware since 2016.
No emulator can recreate that instantaneous pin point precision of CRT light gun gaming. It's worth picking up one of those big bastard TVs for that alone.
I very rarely agree with you, but here we are.
Yep, they have been for at least 6 months, since the release of the PS5 / XSX.
I still play games from that generation (and older) frequently. I actually have more fun with older games than the current micro-trash-action always-online, endless-grinding, filler games of the modern era.
If legendary game consoles like Super Nintendo / PS1 / PS2 are considered A+, then the Series S|X are considered a flat out F by comparison.
If we're not comparing this system to previous A+ consoles, then it gets a D with no current-gen games and shall remain this way for the foreseeable future. What a shame. What a waste of teraflops.
DJ and DJFFNY were good because they were developed by AKI/ASMIK. The same team that developed N64 WWF games. If its by the same team, sure, make a new one. If not, then nope, it'll be trash, like DJ Icon (the same team behind Tony Hawk Ride and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 if you didn't know).
The director of WWF No Mercy is currently developing the upcoming AEW game, so there's hope for that to replace Def Jam series. But we'll have to reserve judgement un...
If nothing else, par for the course, eh?
