My exactly feelings. I have no interest in buying Xbox consoles anymore (loved the original, and 360, though!), but I certainly want to buy this.
I'm a bit younger than you are, but I've been feeling disillusioned with many modern games, or rather game publishers terrible business practices over the past few years as well. However, my love of gaming hasn't waivered, since 2016 I've been focusing more on retro gaming. I've purchased EverDrive carts and ODEs for my old consoles, and HD Retrovision cables to get the best picture out of them on my CRT, and its been a damn good time.
No rushed games th...
Its got to be an oversight, because PS3 had game trials and this was not an issue 10 years ago. How could it be an issue now? Clearly something went wrong, and I wouldn't be surprised if they announce a fix soon.
JoyCons are good for motion or unique games, especially exercise games such as Ring Fit Adventure, Fitness Boxing (which I play every day), Labo, and Mario Party. But yeah, they suck for anything traditional. For the price they charge for their outdated hardware, they really should include a Pro controller with the system.
But of course not, Nintendo is the only first party company to charge us extra to have the privilege to use good controls.
A lot of people claimed that the Sonic Mania team could do a better 3D game than Sonic Team. Now we'll find out if this is true. Hoping for the best.
As unexpected as it may sound, PS4 consoles keep selling, even 8 years after release! Sony Direct website has completely sold out of all their consoles at the moment. The includes old PS4, slim PS4, and PS4 Pro. I bought a used PS4 Pro just 1 month ago for $350.
If Sony can't keep their hardware in stock, what incentive do they have to lower the price? PS4 Pro also stopped being manufactured awhile back, which means all sales are either new old stock, or second hand, wh...
Its for the best to leave it be. Not every game series needs to continue forever. Let the mainline series be done, releasing another mainline game would just retcon and ruin everything so far, which is already a messy house of cards.
Maybe side story games like AC!D or Ghost Babel could happen, but we don't need another online-only game like Survive (even if I did enjoy the CO-OP, I hated the single player missions).
I gave the remaining developers at...
I just beat RECVX HD on PS3 last week. Here's the most important non-spoiler tip: make sure you put the fire extinguisher back inside your standard item box immediately after using it. Don't keep it in the metal detector item box, or you'll regret it later like I did.
Its a temporary name, I thought S-E would have revealed the final name by now.
You'll never see WWF No Mercy rereleased. WWE is too busy pushing unfinished broken trash games packed with micro-trash-actions to give a damn about its previous releases they can not monetize long term. The only way to play it on Switch is via modding and using Retroarch.
If you have a save file worth a damn, then you have zip lines everywhere. Its literally 2 minutes or less to the closest delivery terminal, where ever you may be in the world. Certainly not a big deal, and of course almost all players will have their saves near a safe zone or terminal to begin with.
Not an issue at all.
Only Nintendo would charge extra for their already lackluster online service that wasn't worth it to begin with. Now pay even more, for old ROM dumps.
Meanwhile the Switch modding community are playing Retroarch on it without a monthly subscription. If you want to discourage piracy, you need to offer your customers a worthwhile deal, and this sure as heck ain't it.
There's more to it than that. Whenever the PS4 servers are permanently shut down (and it will happen in our lifetimes), even if you change the CMOS battery, it wouldn't matter. Prior to firmware 9.00, no games would work, this includes digital and physical disc games, even with a brand new battery.
This was an important update. Do you really believe Sony would take the time and effort to make changes to the firmware that (to quote you) "wasn't even that big...
The PS4 CBOMB issue affected physical games, which was unacceptable, and why it was so important to patch.
The PS3 CMOS dying doesn't affect physical games from being played, only digital. But when PS3 online servers are permanently shut down, will Sony even allow us access to the digital games we bought? If not, then the CMOS dying won't matter.
Once you added the GBA Player it became a cube. They planned that in advance (no pun intended), of course.
Just more junk food in order to gain more junk XP in a game that doesn't need it in the first place. I'd like to see some better food options for gaming promotions at least once.
This makes perfect sense.
A thoughtless, shallow, knock-off, wanna-be 'Universe', partnering up with a thoughtless, shallow, knock-off, wanna-be first party studio.
Both have failed to impress their respective audiences for quite a while now. What could possibly go wrong?
I hope "not open world" also means no endless grinding, filler, padding, and micro-trash-actions to speed up game "progress".
PS Move was the best form of motion gaming of the last, last generation. Wiimote and Kinect were technically far worse than the PS Move. Only Wiimotion Plus could compare and it was too little too late, with only one or two marquee titles proving the 'Plus' being a worthwhile upgrade.
While there weren't enough PS Move games, at least there were some true 'core games' that supported it, from KillZone 3 to Resident Evil 5. Something that Microsoft's &...
More like Ubisoft has lost their way, which occurred well before most people even realized it, or were willing to admit it.
Generic games, grind games, filler games, micro-trash-action packed games. Wanting to make a profit is fine, but its the methods of how you choose to make a profit is what separates the good publishers and the bad. I used to pay attention to Ubisoft games, during the PS2 and PS3 era of gaming, started to lose a lot of interest during the PS4 era, and n...
