Good article, and I agree. I don't care for most online competitive games, but I played a ton of UC 2, UC 3 online, both CO-OP and VS. I'd like to see more CO-OP online games as well, it was so much fun in UC 2! I wish the servers didn't get taken down. UC 4 online may not be as good as the previous entries, but its still better than most other games, especially CoD, BF, or any of the Battle Royale games.

@ Bathyj

This is absolutely accurate, and my stance going forward. I'm done with the majority of time wasting, filler-packed, generic, boring, grindy-slogfest games from Bethesda / Ubisoft / EA / Activison / Microsoft / etc.

Excellent and accurate post. The problem are the buyers of these unfinished products, if they stopped watching fake hype trailers that make games look good, such as the shit GTA Trilogy, and instead waited on reviews, more games would flop.

When games flop, less currency is generated, and maybe, just maybe, there may be a chance that the shit-for-brains executives will learn a lesson in how to treat their fans properly. Its not like these companies are running on fumes, des...

This was my thought as well. Before MS can have 'magical directs', they first need to create 'magical games'.
One step at a time, don't try to run before you can crawl.

Japan Studios was amazing. Ape Escape, Parappa, Tomba, Freedom Wars, Gravity Rush, Puppeteer.
What a shame that almost all of that unique charm is now gone.

While Sony still releases good first party games, all the bigger budgeted titles are either shooters or racers. We need more variety. Astrobot is cool, but we still need more colorful, charming Japanese games from them.

It won't be delayed, instead it will be released incomplete, with endless bugs and glitches, as is par for both MS first party and Bethesda games of the past. Expect another publish outcry over game quality similar to Cyberpunk with Starfield.

MS started losing their momentum back in 2011 with Kinect. And then they killed all their momentum 2 years later with Xbox One horrible DRM and messaging. They burned a bridge with me, for no reason other than to be greedy asshole executives.

I still haven't forgiven them for 2013. All they had to do since then to win me back as a customer was release excellent single player games without endless micro-trash-actions. But MS has done literally nothing of the sort. All th...

Xbox One was the first time I haven't bought a major console. MS burned the bridge so bad with me in 2013 that I almost swore them off for good.
Scalebound was the *only game* that could have possibly made me pick up an Xbox One. And of course, worthless Philly had to cancel it (among other games, such as Project Spark and Fable: Legends).

Philly has all the money in the world (proven by recently spending 70 BILLION DOLLARS like its nothing), and yet he can'...

Yes, but the difference is Sony actually has a desire to release games and see things through to the end. MS cares the least about actually cultivating and releasing games. So instead they buy up other companies and put their already existing games on their rental service. Pushing ever harder towards the 'wonderful' all digital future.

The amount of monetization this game will feature is going to be on a whole new level than any game ever. I just hope it stays out of the single player portion of the game, at the minimum.

A lot of people don't remember what Nintendo is like when they're rolling in bank. Nintendo has a history of not wanting to release a new machine when they are doing extremely well, and since 2006 have been doing everything they can to stall having to increase their development costs (more powerful hardware means higher dev costs which Nintendo hates).

The Famicom released in 1983, and its successor, the Super Famicom released in 1990. Let that sink in for a moment,...

Yikes, undeserved. He's a snakeoil salesman, and has done nothing worth a damn since he took over for Mattrick. All he's done is cancel games I wanted to play (SCALEBOUND -- no I will not forget). And green lit trash games I have no interest in. Not to mention push further and further the 'all digital future'. A future which I should add is going to be garbage.

Last night I tried to download my Xbox profile onto my Xbox 360, and I could not because of an aut...

There are others who feel this way as well. Ubisoft was an amazing publisher for many years, and then they started sinking deeper into mediocrity and eventually worse when the PS4 / XB1 generation started.

They started focusing too much on pre-order bonuses (4 different stores with 4 different unlockable missions to get as a pre-order bonus -- BULLSHIT!), and micro-trash-actions, endless grinding filler game design. Just 'chore work gaming'.

Ubiso...

If you blindly purchase this game, you're asking for scummy Take-Two to take your money and give you junk in return.
Learn from history, don't trust them, don't get excited for carefully crafted trailers. Don't repeat the same mistakes from the past.

Go play WWF No Mercy, it still holds up great, with an amazing roster, and will be more fun to play than this trash.

The series is about Ubisoft making money off gamers who desire low quality, generic, uninteresting, filler titles, packed with endless, boring, repetitive grinding, and chore game design. Specifically and meticulously planned from the start to nudge dumb gamers into spending a little extra to unlock time savers to alleviate the problems that Ubisoft purposefully created in the first place.

Don't trust this scummy company. Take Two will release another piece of trash game. Stop falling for their lies, and stop giving them your money. Go play No Mercy, or Here Comes the Pain instead.

This is a case where the username is absolutely accurate. The writer of this article has gone bonkers.
Since 2017 I've been focusing more on retro gaming, not because of nostalgia, but because gaming back then was freakin' fantastic, and still is to this day. Also my disillusionment of current industry practices, driving me away from almost all third party publishers at this point.

I'm more interested in playing classic games, such as arcade games that ...

lol, it won't be anything near 'incredible'. The WWE doesn't care about their games quality anymore, Take-Two doesn't care about their games quality, either.

Where is all this blind faith coming from? What have they done to earn such hope from them? The series stopped being fun to play after 'Here Comes the Pain'. The controls are too convoluted, the mini-games mid-match are stupid, using the right analog stick to perform moves isn't as enjoy...

Its certainly not as good as Shenmue 1 and 2, but I still enjoyed it enough. The worst part about the game is all the filler side quests and grinding that aren't properly tracked in game, so you'd have to use a map on a second screen to keep track of collectibles and side quests. Also ton's of missable trophies on PS4, which is poor design in my opinion. Oh, and the framerate on PS4 is really bad, especially in first person view. It literally bothers my eyes, and I haven't pla...

I've used Stadia for a bit, because I had a free trial from T-Mobile, and I had a pretty fun time with it. I really enjoyed GYLT, beat it four times! It's a relatively unknown indie game that would actually be fairly popular if it weren't Stadia exclusive. I'd love to see it ported to other platforms, but for whatever reason, it doesn't appear to be happening.

I also had a really fun time playing Bomberman on Stadia, and it honestly plays better than the...
