Hm Cliffy B really does not want PC gamers to buy his products does he.
@ Man In Black - I have the PC version and it does not need the disc and no I didn't pirate it. There is a little thing called Digital Distribution which means you can legally buy games and download them. That is how companies such as Steam, Impulse and D2D work.
In future if you are not knowledgeable about how the PC platform works then keep your opinion to yourself.
As for the PS3 needing an install, I understand why it annoys people. One of the key ...
Ah that is ok I have no plans to buy Bulletstorm. Epic are so out of touch with the PC community that I do not expect much from anything they produce on the PC. I will ensure my money goes to developers that actually WORK for it on the PC.
and Crysis (a 3 year old game) looks ten times better than infamous, what's your point ?
This mod is RUNNING ON THE PC so how can it be the game will only look like this if it is a PS3 exclusive ? It isn't running like this on the PS3 is it ? Nope but it is running like this on the PC.
Hm I didn't realise this was running on the PS3 ....... oh wait it isn't it is running on the PC. So what you really meant to say was "This is the way GTA should look if Rockstar used the full capabilities of the PC and make it PC-exclusive".
I can't believe they missed out the Mass Effect 2 launch trailer :-
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
That is one of the best launch trailers I have ever seen.
Unfortunately for Ubisoft they are not important to the PC platform.
Oh yeahhhhhh you can't move on various forums for people talking about fable 3 on the pc, PC gamers are just THAT excited /s
This game is so gonna die on the PC it isn't even funny. Well ok it will be funny listening to Pete complaining that no PC gamer was interested in nearly a year old port of a game using an online service universally reviled by PC gamers of a franchise where they couldn't even be bothered to port the second one.
I mean this...
So does this mean I am duty bound to uninstall the game from my PC ? I mean if it is an exclusive to the xbox 360 it shouldn't exist on my PC /sarcasm. Oh wait is it another one of those "faux" exclusives ?
The best way to combat GFWL is to NOT BUY games that use GFWL. Most developers are already coming around to the fact that GFWL = death sentence for game sales on the PC. There are very few developers still sticking with the service but they will eventually come around.
The problem is not GFWL though the problem is Microsoft is NOT committed to the PC platform. The GFWL service could be one of the best services available on the PC it could even rival steam. But for some re...
Erm the Terminus Armour and Blackstorm weapon were free for PC/360 users as well. They were Gamestop pre-order incentives.
Oh god don't set Rockstar a challenge like that, they may just meet it and surpass it.
Either way I am not that bothered about RDR on the PC, if I wanted to play it I would've bought a console to play it on a year ago.
If this is true the best PC gamers can hope for is a quick $200,005 port with 5 bucks spent on the port and $200,000 spent on the DRM. It will probably have the god awful GFWL which killed MP gaming in GTA 4. In reality I see absolute...
Same here, not only did I pick up Mafia 2 I got all the DLC as well for £10 (about $15) that is half what Amazon are charging just for the base game.
Got to love steam.
ROFL they actually think anyone cares about this on the PC now ? It wasn't even that well received on the xbox it is gonna die on the PC. As a PC gamer this game is at best a £2 steam sale buy. It will come with GFWL and in my book that reduces the games value to bargain bin pricing.
What you mean the DLC that hasn't been announced yet ? I am sure it will be made available for the PS3 at the same time as the PC/360. I also imagine you will have to pay for this next DLC episode just like PC/360 users.
I am not talking about graphics, PC gamer here so I don't think I need to worry too much. I am talking about rubbish like "exclusive content" for one platform, missions and gameplay ripped out of the game and resold as DLC.
Like I said I am a huge Duke Nukem fan but as much as I love the Duke I have a strange sense of foreboding that 2K are going to butcher this game to hell and back just to nickel and dime us.
So I will put this on the back bu...
I don't trust 2k Games as far as I could throw them, no way am I pre-ordering one of their games till I know fully what we will actually get after the Mafia 2 rubbish. This is coming from a die hard Duke Nukem fan.
"Editor’s Note: We are aware that these games are also available on the PC. Unfortunately, we are not a PC gaming website – so, we did not include that version in this comparison. Perhaps we will include a PC gaming section on our website in the near future."
Basically that statement at the end is saying "yeah we know it is better on the PC but that doesn't fit with our lil opinion piece so we are gonna ignore the PC version".
However ...
The DLC is at least a timed exclusive to the Xbox 360. No one knows when the timed exclusivity runs out though.
You have to wonder why article submitters keep putting info on this DLC in the PC and PS3 sections when it is widely known the DLC is "exclusive" to the xbox 360 at the moment.
I would like to hope that people wouldn't abuse this in such a manner. This is no doubt an experiment by Valve and how customers react and treat steamplay will govern whether Valve offers this in the future.
If people want to see Valve continue to offer this kind of thing (and maybe entice other companies to do such a thing) then the best course of action is to NOT abuse it for personal profit.
I imagine this will fall on deaf ears, most people just see ...
