I did not say they were being banned but the game they BOUGHT was crippled with an anti-piracy measure (they could not play their purchased game because of this piracy trigger).

This story is trying to make out that only "pirates" were affected. That is clearly not the case it also affected legitimate purchasers of the game. If you need proof that legit customers were affected then look here :-

Why is this even news ? Software developers have been doing this for years it isn't anything new and it doesn't just affect pirates. I remember one of the more notorious examples of this DRM was the "always on drunk cam" in GTA 4. It didn't take long for the pirates to find the triggers but legit users are still suffering the piracy trigger years later.

Now from what I have read of this story it certainly doesn't sound like it is only pirates being ...

I am sure gamers would be proud of EA's Quality commitment. The minute gamers actually seen any of EA's quality commitment I am sure they will be chomping at the bit to be "proud" of it. Just let us know when EA actually does any Quality.

This is one of the best things to come out of the preview. It is great to see Bioware not giving into temptation and shoe horning MP into what is designed to be a single player experience.

Once they have finished Shepards story they can go to town on MP in Mass Effect as much as they like I won't care but for the final story in Shepard's tale it should be single player.

Mass Effect was always multiplatform. It was only "exclusive" to the Xbox 360 for around 8 months before it came to the PC.

The short comings of Arrival have nothing to do with the game being multiplatform and everything to do with resources being directed towards ME 3 leaving precious little left to create this DLC.

To be honest it is a bit cheeky asking $7 for this. There is barely an hour's worth of play in it the first time and this gets cut rapidly down to 30 mins once you know the locations where the soldiers come from.

I don't think Arrival is an example of Bioware getting worse. I think it is simply a case of DLC not being the proper medium for a game such as Mass Effect. There are so many limitations to the DLC medium, such as cost, time and filesize.

Unfortunately Arrival just shows these limitations too well. There is no interaction with any of your crew (probably too expensive to get the voice actors in). It is also relatively short and there isn't much in the way of RPG in...

10 - Not enough single player games - The PC has more games and releases than any other platform covering nearly every genre you can possibly imagine.

9 - Console ports - Pretty much every console port will run and look better on a PC. There are obviously one or two that turn out crappy but then it isn't like consoles get crappy ports is it ?

8 - Game Reviews - if you can't find reviews of PC versions then you aren't looking at the right websites...

surprised the article didn't use QR codes to help with locating the games.

I love my Galaxy S Android phone but I just can't "love" gaming on Android/touchscreen phones. I don't know what it is about gaming on a mobile but I always find better things to do on my phone than play games.

This has been going now for a good few hours and I believe they have passed the 1000 tweets mark a while ago. It might have been interesting to see what would have happened if they hadn't got their 1000 tweets. I mean would they have said "we didn't get the tweets so you aren't getting the screen shot" ?

I was just thinking that myself, I mean why tag an article on a PS3 exclusive game as of interest to PC, 360 users ?

But then as a PC gamer I am used to seeing crap that isn't relevant to the PC being tagged as such. I have lost count of the number of articles about RDR and LA Noire being tagged for PC.

"In the same interview, the senior producer claimed 2011 will be "incredible" for hardcore gamers on Xbox 360."

So even when they are trying to convince us that GFWL will be fantastic, wonderful and all that rubbish they still can't resist plugging the console.

When I see a GFWL title it means only one thing to me as a PC gamer and that is "AVOID THE GAME". Now MS can try and paint as pretty picture as they like but outside ...

Ok mystery solved it is FAN ART not official Bioware concept art :-

"LG don’t have their cards on the gaming table, therefor they are not at real loss — the PlayStation 3 isn’t threatening their sales numbers."

Patent infringement is still patent infringement whether LG is currently using the technology they patented or not. Just because LG are not using the Tech doesn't mean Sony can use it as if it is their own.

I love the way the article paints Sony out to be the victim. It was Sony that started this trying...

I usually budget for at least 1 full price game purchase every month.

December = steam sales and bought close to 20 games.
January = I bought Civ 5
February = Testdrive Unlimited 2
March = Crysis2/Homefront
April = Portal 2
May = Duke Nukem

That is as far as I have looked ahead. On top of those full price purchases I will probably spend a crap load of cash on the special offers that steam keep teasing me with.

"However, if you’re not a fan of World of Warcraft, StarCraft, Call of Duty or The Sims, then there weren’t a lot of other gaming titles to help propel the market forward for retail PC gaming. And if you’re not much of a fan of MMOs, well then you’re out of luck when it comes to heavy PC game development support. As stated in the research data…"

Ouch releasing this at the same time as the Witcher 2. This game is going to die in every way possible on the PC. The screenshots don't even look all that "wow" either.

Why is everyone taking this site at their word. They have NO figures to back up their assertions and the only "guesstimates" they have are from VGchartz which has proved in the past to be less than reliable.

The truth is no one knows except EA/Bioware how well the game sold. I do know that there have been plenty of cases where Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 has been sold out. That suggests to me that sales of the game on the PS3 has not been as luck lustre as some peop...

The two classified characters on the squad webpage are already in the game. Bioware choose to keep them off the squad page to avoid the story being spoiled.

I won't spoil their names here for those that haven't played the game but there are no new squad members to come. After Kasumi was released Bioware even stated they would not be adding any more squad members to Mass Effect 2.

EDIT :- I have pm'd you with the names of the two squad members t...
