They are both consoles, I personally couldn't care less which console YOU think is "superior". I happen to think both are crap myself but there you go. However I am not going to get into a debate with you about how you think the PS3 is uber powerful and all that rubbish.
The fact is Deus Ex 1 was a fantastic game on the PC, then they tried to appease the console crowd with Deus Ex 2 and that turned to crap. I don't have high hopes for Deus Ex 3. The only...
"This game will not even come close to the CGI trailer we just saw. The number one reason is its also on the PS3 and 360 and that automatically means a step down in what the game graphically could have been had it been developed only for the PC."
There I fixed your statement for you, that better reflects the reality of how Deus Ex a PC franchise has been butchered to death thanks to the casual and console crowd.
After the mess that was GTA 4 I would actually prefer if this sorry company just gave up on the PC. They clearly have no interest in exploiting and producing a decent product on the PC and just see it as a cheap ass cash in opportunity.
So yes Rockstar please forget about the PC and like wise PC gamers will forget about buying your products.
Hm I wonder if this has anything to do with the Licence fee ? Now for those not in the UK you probably don't know what I am talking about. Basically the BBC is funded by a licence fee that you have to pay for if you own a television (it's basically a broadcasting tax). So if you own a TV in the UK then you have to pay £12 a month for a licence to use that TV if you don't you face a hefty fine or even jail.
Now since the BBC is so heavily involved in this g...
"Pack for Red Dead Redemption on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. "
So why was this story tagged for the PC ? Can submitters please become a bit more educated and stop spamming the PC section with games that are NOT on the PC and currently have no intention of coming to the PC.
People wouldn't accept this if stories about starcraft 2 started spamming the xbox 360 or PS3 section so we shouldn't have to put up with this in the PC section...
I would prefer the "more bang for the buck" be put into the single player game myself rather than tack on a multi player mode I will never use. Mass Effect is a single player game and it should remain a single player game till after Mass Effect 3. If Bioware want to branch out after that and do a multiplayer Mass Effect game then good luck to them, I won't bother with it myself just like I won't bother with Mass Effect 3 if it has multi player.
Another example of a company abusing the tax system. I think it is reprehensible that Sony (or any other company) abuse the $4 million in tax credits. This is primarily why I am totally against companies receiving any tax incentives because they just abuse them.
It is also astonishing that a company would exclude such a large pool of potentially dedicated hard workers and sends a horrible message to the unemployed. I am sure this isn't just a Sony thing and other compa...
"No purchase necessary"
That gave me a chuckle (yeah I know they have to put that for legal reasons). Just Cause 2 is one of my favourite games. It is great to see developers doing these kind of things it is just a shame it is limited to the US.
As far as I am aware Assassins Creed 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction still have the DRM in place on the steam store in the US. This isn't unusual if you look at other titles steam is quite happy to let publishers have their own DRM in their titles and still sell the games.
So if you buy the games from the US steam store you will still have to deal with the draconian online connection DRM I am afraid.
You are correct that both games sold badly, but you are not correct about steam removing the titles due to DRM. This is the result of some confusion with the way Ubisoft deals with steam. In some countries you will find both games still available on steam (such as the US), in other countries you will not find Splinter Cell or Assassins Creed 2 on steam (such as the UK). This is down to local contracts ubisoft have with retail shops.
As for Pachter he hasn't been keepin...
And another excellent single player experience gets screwed all in favour of damn multiplayer. Seriously how many games do people need with MP ? There are very few excellent single player games these days that concentrate solely on that aspect of gaming we don't need another half arsed multiplayer/rpg.
I don't care if they decide to make a seperate multiplayer game in the Mass Effect universe that is their business but polluting the single player game with multiplay...
"Can someone tell me if I am missing something that is included in this pack?"
Nope you are not missing anything that is all you get for your money, 5 maps and 2 of those maps are COD 4 maps.
Is anyone else getting sick of these special pre-order packs that you can get if you buy it from a specific store ? I know I am getting sick of them.
"APB Is 'More Than Worth $10 A Month"
I would say that is a matter of opinion, I am in the closed beta and the game got old pretty fast. I haven't played the beta now for months and that is "free of charge". Still I am sure some people will think it is worth "more than $10 a month" I just happen to not be one of them
Erm no it doesn't, those that pirate Ubisoft games are perfectly able to play the games without being connected to the internet. Those that pay for the game have to rely on Ubisofts servers to work in order to play the game.
I don't agree with piracy myself but what Ubisoft are doing is not the answer and I will continue to not buy or play their tripe.
You NEVER own the content even if you buy the disc you do not own the content. When you buy a game you pay for a license to USE the game.
As for selling, reading or giving your game to a friend for a day to play. In case you haven't heard publishers are putting a stop to that even with the retail version
Not sure why you think DD means publishers control the prices they do that with the retail version. You usually find shops offering games at a discoun...
Hm I can't say I am leaping for joy at this news. I personally don't think a Mass Effect movie would work and even though I am a huge fan of the game it isn't something I would rush out and see.
Yep couldn't agree more I am perfectly happy with DD versions of my games. The boxed version is pretty much a waste of resources theses days. A few years ago I felt very different back then you got plenty of bits and bobs in your boxed copy to excite. You would find games came with Novella's, maps, charts and other bits and bobs.
However these days you get a crappy recycled case and a disc that probably cost the publisher 5p. There is absolutely no value to the dis...
OK this has to be the most moronic article I have ever read in my life (and I have read a fair few moronic articles). So this article is about the top 5 PC <- NOTE PC Western themed games and the number 1 Western game on the PC issssssssss Red Dead Redemption ??????????????
Now I am fully aware the author notes that this game is NOT available on the PC (so how the hell can it exist in this list then ?). Now it seems some people are assuming RDR will come to the PC totall...
As a PC gamer I am getting a bit tired of Valve to be honest. I love steam don't get me wrong it is my primary source for buying games. However as a developer I don't rank Valve that highly.
I don't have any interest in online games, I think I have played about 10 minutes of TF2 and didn't like it. I have never bought into the L4D series because it looks tired, dated and yet again it is a primarily online only game which is of no interest to me.
