I actually think this is a pretty novel and interesting idea. I can see this bringing a lot of fun and joy to young children. I remember as a young child I had a "bond" with the stuffed animals I had and it would have been fantastic if I could have interacted with them on the TV.
Now obviously being an adult this kind of thing wouldn't appeal to me but at the end of the day I can see it being lots of fun for young children and I can appreciate that without goi...
No the PC is losing the fight because developers are not making games that a lot of PC gamers WANT TO PLAY that is why the PC is losing. I loved the first Crysis, I even loved Warhead and when I heard that Crysis 2 was being released I was over the moon. Then I saw the urban setting and that turned me right off the game.
The minute a developer makes a game I actually WANT to play I will more than happily support them. Unfortunately developers tend to concentrate too much o...
We will see what the future brings, I am sure all those years ago we thought exactly the same about Epic and now look at them they are basically more or less Xbox 360 exclusive.
I wouldn't rely on Valve having principles either we have just seen how strong Gabe's convictions and principles are when he appeared at the PS3 conference, you know a conference for a machine he considered a "waste of time".
E3 has long since lost any relevance to PC gamers, as for the 5 supposed disappointments :-
Cryteks - Kingdoms being Xbox 360 exclusive I can't say it peaked my interest as a PC gamer. Never have been a fan of all that mythology crap with swords and shields give me a tactical nuke any day of the week
Warhammer - Space Marines exclusive to the xbox 360, meh I have never played a warhammer game and I am not about to start now.
Medal Of Hon...
@ Kleptic I was merely responding to AtatakaiSamurai ridiculous post that some how if Valve made use of the cell and blu-ray things would be mega wonderful and we would all have fluffy little bunny rabbits come to stay and the world would be ever so nice etc etc.
Valve are already developing on the most technologically sophisticated platform on the planet so we already KNOW what valve can do if they are given the right resources. So it is ridiculous for AtatakaiSamurai to su...
wrong place.
@ AtatakaiSamurai - Not sure what your point was with this :-
"Imagine the possibilities if a talented developer house like Valve created a game for the PS3 utilizing blu-ray, HDD space, cell technology and upped their own game by developing a gaming engine specifically for the PS3 hardware.
Just imagine the insanity of what could be produced. Imagine the possibilities indeed."
Valve already develop for the most technically sophisti...
Valve confirming they are douchebags till the end. This is just a fail on every level and I really think Valve are starting to lose it, they sure as hell lost my respect.
Other than steam which I admit is a great service I find Valve are becoming irrelevant to me as a PC gamer. The last game I bought from Valve was the Orange Box 3 years ago. I am not interested in Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2 got boring after an hour (though I will admit I am not a fan of MP).
I have been eagerly awaiting news about Episode 3, I love the Half Life universe and I couldn't wait to visit it again after all I have been waiting 3 years. Instead what do V...
I am sure Rockstar will find some way to kill off this PC franchise
This is an age old trick by developers, they release the console version first which means good ole Joe Q Mug goes out and buys the console version even though he would much rather have the PC version. Then they release the PC version a lil bit later and good ole Joe Q Mug goes out and buys the PC version.
Now had they released the PC version at the same time as the console version it is likely that Joe Q Mug would have just gone with the PC version thus costing Rockstar the...
It is amazing what passes for news these days, the guy on the Rockstar Wire is a PR guy repeating what the developers said weeks ago in a podcast that is all.
I don't know if RDR will come to the PC, I don't think people should "assume" it will come to the PC. I personally couldn't care less even if we got a PC version it would be of such god awful quality as to be totally useless anyway. I just wish they would stop making pathetic articles like this t...
I have to admit I am getting a bit sick and tired of these retail exclusive bonuses.
I must be one of the 30% that really couldn't give a toss if Rockstar bring RDR to the PC. It certainly isn't a title I would inflict on my PC that's for sure. I am sick and tired of putting up with the mouldy scraps that Rockstar throw our way.
It goes without saying any port of RDR will use the PC version of the RAGE game engine which is fundamentally broken on the PC thus it will be a complete waste of time and money. I would much rather Rockstar just made a...
Erm why did you mention "The Witcher" ? that game isn't one of Bioware's. The Witcher was developed by CD Projekt RED STUDIO.
I have over 220 hours logged in Mass Effect 2, completed the story numerous times using different custom Shepards. I am not saying Mass Effect 2 is perfect there are always ways developers can improve things. However if the article creator is "bored" of Bioware titles then why not do the sensible thing and don't buy Bioware titles rather than posting on the net ?
There are plenty of things I find boring but I don't go around creating articles about them.
Yep I know which is why I am expecting it to be a complete and utter mess on the PC. There is something fundamentally broken with the Rage engine on the PC and Rockstar Toronto have failed to repair it with 7 patches. The only way they are going to get the RAGE engine working properly on the PC is a complete rewrite of it by competent software engineers and that isn't going to happen.
So Max Payne 3 on the PC will be an absolute travesty and Rockstar will have destroyed...
My goodness a Rockstar game is delayed, I am in deep shock over this surprise announcement /sarcasm
To be honest I couldn't careless Rockstar + PC does not mix, they seem to have nothing but contempt for PC customers and I don't mind showing contempt for their bugged unfinished products and I bet Max Payne 3 will be the buggiest product yet on the PC.
I take it Lucasarts has now decided that we all have $4,000 PC's now have we ? Oh and before you all start going "you don't need a $4,000 PC". I KNOW I am a PC gamer and was making a joke about what Lucasarts said about the first Force Unleashed.
Anyway I didn't bother with the first one so I think I will happily skip this one too. I was expecting something along the lines of Jedi Academy not the generic hack and slash game they eventually produced.
Actually the fact the PC got Mass Effect had nothing to do with Microsoft. The original Mass Effect was always going to be a 360 exclusive. Then EA bought Bioware and arranged for a port to the PC. So it is EA that should get the credit for Mass Effect being on the PC.
As for Fable 1 and 3, well Fable 1 (an xbox 1 game) didn't come to the PC till the Xbox 360 came out and Fable 1 on the PC looked absolutely ghastly by modern standards. In other words they shouldn'...
