Ohhhhhhhh the critics agree, well they must be right mustn't they /sarcasm The opinions of critics and the gaming press these days carries about as much weight as an astrologist in my books.
I love it when you get rubbish like this "why screen resolution doesn't matter" erm yes it does matter BIG TIME. The higher the res the sharper the picture and the more detail you get. I am primarily a PC gamer and I can tell you now 1280 x 720 looks horribly low res compared to the normal res I play at which is 2048 x 1152.
So I dread to think how bad sub 720p is, now fair enough we are not talking PC's here we are talking consoles and consoles have the a...
you will probably find 3 of the cores are used up with the DRM at any rate it's a Ubisoft game which = no buy for me. Seriously when are Ubisoft going to get it into their heads we don't want their drm infested rubbish on the PC.
Ah you have to laugh 640p/720p !!!! I stopped using a resolution that low over 5 years ago. I really don't know why this causes people to have hissy fits.
Oh god I knew this was coming, there have been rumours about it over the past few days. Now this story has hit N4G I guess we should order the body bags.
I predict this story will get so hot that it will spontaneously spark into self sustaining fusion and provide cheap energy for all.
I guess it is true what PC gamers say about Rockstar, they are great game designers but utterly utterly useless when it comes to the technical aspects of actually making a game...
I cannot wait to hear Blizzards take on the problems making games on the console ....... oh wait Blizzard don't do anything on the console so it wouldn't be appropriate for them to say anything. Just like Epic haven't made a PC game since Gears of War 1.
So a company that hasn't done anything on the PC in at least 3 years really does not have any right or knowledge to comment on the problems with the PC. I find it curious how other developers are able to uti...
This company hasn't produced a single game on the PC since Gears Of War 1 which btw was released a year after the console version (will affect PC sales) had some pretty horrible bugs (again affecting sales) and isn't particularly the kind of PC game people on the PC would play.
The only other "recent" game Epic released on the PC was Unreal Tournament 695 a game that felt old and tired. They released a demo and most people that played the demo just laughed ...
How about the part where it isn't xbox exclusive it is on the PC too. That or I just imagined playing 200 hours worth of Mass Effect 2 on my PC.
Ohhhhhhhh I have always wanted a game with "Multilayer" always wondered what that is about.
oops wrong place.
erm no GTA San Andreas did NOT max out DVD, the game was around 4.3gbs that is no where close to maxing out a DVD which can hold around 8gbs.
It still doesn't make up for the fact the Scottish invented Golf.
I kid I kid just a little bit of humour there.
Not really that interested in this title to be honest. I can't see there being much interest in Fable on the PC after MS and Molyneux have neglected the format for so long. Just because they are hopping back on board the PC platform now doesn't mean I am going to support them.
Still for those that want this game on the PC I imagine they will be happy about it. I am just curious whether this is the start of a shift by MS back to supporting the PC gaming wise.
Perhaps now we can get submitters to stop filling the PC section with RDR spam. This game was never going to come to the PC, as a PC gamer I accept that and to be honest I am not all that bothered about it. I dunno "cowboy and Indian" games have never really floated my boat.
Do you honestly believe that Agent will stay exclusive to Sony ? I mean seriously do you still believe Rockstar does "platform exclusives" after what happened with the DLC ?
Rockstar is a third party developer the PS3 will have timed exclusivity on Agent and that is about it. The game will come to the Xbox 360 and PC just like the DLC for GTA 4 came to the PS3 and PC.
I have no doubt that people will go "yeah but but Sony own the Agent IP&quo...
Then you completely missed the point of the game, it is about raising awareness of sexually transmitted diseases in a fun, creative and interesting way.
I hope there isn't a G-Spot level, there is no way I will be able to beat that level ...... or even find it.
"We're setting the ultimate open world game in kind of a rural environment - something that hasn't really been done before, not a the level we're taking it to."
The guy obviously hasn't played Just Cause 2 then. All I will say to people is be wary here remember how much Rockstar hyped GTA 4 and we all know how that turned out for a lot of people.
Why does the media still think PC gamers have a thing for Alan Wake ? The only aspect of this game I found appealing was the "open word sandbox" aspect of it. Well we all know what happened to that don't we. As soon as they ditched that aspect of the game I lost interest in the game.
I think it's probably a wise decision to not release the game on the PC. The kind of game it is now wouldn't do very well on the PC. As for Remedy well they are free to...
The PC version did not lose them $54m you are just going by the headline. It clearly says :-
"The company on Tuesday recorded a 17.7 percent drop in annual sales to €871 million ($1.08 billion), and posted a loss of €43.7 million ($54.02 million).
So they made an operating loss of $54.02 million this cannot be attributed to just "the PC". Although you have to wonder if Ubisoft hadn't acted in such a crappy way to the PC maybe their titles...
