Ah.
So far comments here were globally of good taste.
But their is always that special someone that level down every discussion to the “powa” and is able to get 2 to 4 times (120fps!!) PS5 performances out of 2 extra Teraflops.
Please send your resume to Spencer, he sure will call you back.
Fair enough.
Seems like MS needs to get back fan trust.
I am not sure it can live up to all expectations I can read, let’s hope for you MS supporters they will be able to bring concrete évidences of better exclusive support.
Maybe timeline will be they weakness, I am not sure all the new stuff will be available at launch, plus the no SX first party exclusive for 1 or 2 years may also prevent short term return on investment for enthusiasts.
...
It seems that for some of you it is a life and death matter that this show needs to be the best one ever seen by human eyes.
I am not a MS fan, but even so it may be a little excessive to judge their work entirely on this kind of events before launch and any kind of third party review of their product.
Guys, we got this crap each gen:
PS3: https://www.ps3blog.net/200...
PS4: https://www.kotaku.com.au/2...
Beside Sony royalties on each game, development cost can be so much different between two games that it can...
It will flop I’m afraid. First Crysis was a visual breakthrough, GPU killer that has entertained graphics enthusiasts for year.
Remake seems to offer nothing comparable, from a distance it is even difficult to determine which is the original of the remake.
You really should not idolize Spencer or any VP.
Enjoy the Xbox brand, game studio, Live etc.. but not the individuals
An organisation depending on a single individual is an organization that is not working correctly.
The only 2 ways for MS to benefit from the situation they let Spencer in (marketing that everything is fine thanks to good guy Phil only): in case Xbox market sunk, and they will put everything on him like they have done with Mattrick, or if ...
Man don’t joke on that.
I’m pretty sure die hard MS fans that vaguely read this clic bait article title missed a heart beat thinking Spencer announced its departure.
Between 30 and 50 hours is the sweet spot for me. Exception for some amazing games with very appealing game worlds where it is never enough.
I am more than glad that the 6 to 8 hours playtime area is over.
Intriguing move.
I can easily see what it could mean for resolution (2x higher resolution on SX vs SerieS), but I am confused regarding frame rate as it is also CPU dépendant.
Does it means that SerieS will have the same CPU as SX, but then under used?
If the CPU is weakened on SerieS, will it be a bottleneck for game design if all SX games must Be compatible with SerieS?
In particular for multiplayer competitive games, di...
It will be the gen of truth for Spencer, everything that will be proposed on SX have been initiated under is management. No more Mattrick excuse.
Let’s hope he will deliver. I will agree with you when I will see real games results , never on this kind of PR talk.
No it’s ok, no need, I know them already:
- Ditching Kinect
- Taking over Mattrick
- Backward compatibility
- Game pass
- Crossplay
- Buying studios.
We go that served every time.
Now name me one first party Xbox one new IP exclusive launched this gen that had impact on the gaming community as big as Bloodborne or Horizon Zero Dawn.
I am more than willing that MS brings am...

“I only call people idiots when their opinion is bad”
My point exactly: value judgment is all but objective.
You can count you in with me and the other idiots then. Blindly believe in Spencer talk is what I personally consider a bad opinion.
Yuck, really not my cup of tea.
@RamRod88
Welcome to the internet.
Everyone can give its opinion, it my not be the same as yours, it may be biased, it may be not what you like to read.
You are an Xbox fan, you have faith in Spencer, good for you enjoy to preferred console.
No need to call other people idiots because they are not like you.
N4G is fueled by console "wars", don't count on them to changed anything in anyway.
PR side of Phil is a marketing tool of Xbox division. He is the good cop, praising competition, caring for gamers cringes.
The other tool is Greenberg, the bad cop, mainly trolling on Xbox superiority.
As for respect, all executives in the industry respect each other for a very good reason which is they needs to be able to switch sides for a career move.
And don’t be naïve, even if Phil is really a gamer at heart, at this end his position is to guaran...
Time will tell.
I’m on the side of those thinking that graphical differences will be minor between PS5 and SX and not at all a game changer on third party games.
For first party, MS has everything to prove. Sony has a arm long list of exclusives to prove they can set the bar for an entire generation graphic wise.
Plus, they also have a track record proving they also defined genres on gameplay or storytelling.
If you believe that only...
Are we doomed up to this July event to have the daily dose of “Spencer saying“ ?
This is brain washing.
The worst thing is that nothing can make this stop. Event with current gen where Xbox bring nothing to the table, sell 2 times less than 360 and has been smashed by the competition, there were not a week without Spencer saying.
This really is for me the only thing that make me wish that MS leave the console business. I cannot stand the way the...
Amen. My point also from the beginning of next gen talks.
But well, some will never rely on common sense.
Yeah sure, 120fps none sense again.
Curious to see how many house use their console on 120Hz or 144hz screens.
Let’s see how things will unfold, but I believe that the choice of Viking era is not a good one.
Origins and Odyssey have provided access to the long awaited time period requested by fans ( Egypt and Antique Greece) and going back to middle age is itself a disappointment.
I think somewhere like Inca or Maya period would have been a better and more ambitious move.
Maybe something related to voodoo cult or Slave trade period may be more appealin...
