I'm sure some will think "you're saying that but you're actually just covering up your bigotry with a weak excuse!" But... You're right. Good stories will just be good stories and viewed as such by most people.
This made me think of two manga series: Wandering Son and Real. Wandering Son is about two teens, a boy and a girl, who wish they were the other gender and form a friendship/romance over their willingness to find their way in life. Real is a...
This is the correct response.
I went into this article expecting crap. Then I read the section for my personal least favourite FF game (12) and...
"But really, it comes down to this: The combat system is celebrated because they essentially invented a way for the game to play itself. The best part of FFXII is that even if you play it you don’t have to play it."
"You refuse to get into something unless it’s been thoroughly vetted by people you trust. Because of this, you’...
It's the fact FIFA 20 was released nearly 5 months ago and Yakuza + Dreams still can't overtake it on their opening week. I live in the UK and wish my country provided a better example. :/
Seeing them behind FIFA 20 genuinely disappoints me.
I guess the fear that we'll die before we ever get a chance to play all the games we want. I know it's something that plays on my mind when I look at my backlog.
And Doom Eternal. And Nioh 2. And Resi 3. And Cyberpunk...
My wallet is going to bleed. ;_;
I kept telling myself I wasn't going to make any stuff myself, but... My goodness, I think I have to! XD
Don't mind me. I'm just bookmarking this comment so I can add it to r/agedlikemilk when the time comes. :)
@DarXyde
Yup, exactly. I was around during the LBP and LBP2 days and there were constant breakthroughs as people learned to use the tools in new and creative ways over the years. There was always tons more to see and do, with the added thrill of being able to connect with your favourite creators. LBP2 still remains as one of my favourite games of all time, and Dreams essentially blows that out of the water.
I'll repeat it again, without an ounce of h...
I'm not surprised at all. After watching coverage of Dreams for the past year it's obvious that it would be a landmark game.
You don't need to create a single thing. Ever. It has a fully playable single player story mode and you can play all of the creations from other players.
Porting isn't as easy as pressing a magical button and having money fall into your lap. For some devs, spreading their resources might be more trouble than it's worth, and focusing on limited platforms might be more sustainable. For that reason, I don't think it's fair to insist all devs "should" do this out of sheer principle.
In this instance though, Switch owners have been clamouring for Persona for a while now and Atlus has already shown they...
This sounds like some schoolyard excuse.
"Told you I could run faster! I'll get to the finish line before you!"
"Yeah, well... I'm not even trying to get there first. I'm actually gonna run over the hill and around the tree and reach the basketball court first instead. Hey look I won!"
Mr. Forbes: *Wipes away tear* "That kid sure is going places."
I'd just like to point out that the game's ending makes it clear it's based on psychiatric wards from decades ago and states that today's practices have thankfully been improved.
Still a decent (and harrowing) game overall and I think anyone interested in a walking sim with this theme should give it a go.
Ditto.

Hang on, oh wait no!
You're forgetting the OG black video game character.
Mr. Game and Watch
It's okay, though. Some nice people on N4G once told me the system would be here to stay, that once you had one you'd never need to buy another system again, and that within a couple years EVERYONE would be on board with Stadia, heralding it as the future. I'm sure Google is just working really hard on those upcoming game reveals.
In all seriousness though, I'd be surprised if the service is still running in 2 years time.
The Switch is selling faster than any other system right now so it's hardly surprising Nintendo aren't too worried.
"Do you mind? I'm busy."
