And this is what happens when you try to port to a console that's a generation behind in power. A good game easily gets ruined. They should have just gone with an original concept instead and built it around the Wii's hardware. Oh well, maybe it won't be that bad, but it probably won't be as fun as the original version.
I've seen enough Killzone 2 screenshot articles to burn the images into my retinas. It has to be one of the most covered games of all time.
I wouldn't say it's developer laziness. Valve has been making PC games for so many years. I don't think they want to change what they do after all this time. Seeing that the 360 is practically a PC, that's why they have no problem putting the games on it. I'm sure this game would sell more than well enough anyway if it wasn't on consoles at all, so no skin off their back. Yeah, it's not good from a gamer's perspective, I know, but you have to think as a business sometimes when you look at su...
It is a shame that PS3 owners are missing out on this game, but as said in the first comment, it may just come down to a matter of economics.
On the bright side, at least it's not a hugely technically demanding game (thanks to the ever so flexible Source Engine), so if your computer is fairly recent, (within the past 3 years I'd day) you should be able to run it on low settings in the worst case. I know, this doesn't fix it for everyone, and I'm sure some people don't like pla...
Dealing with the various fanboys on sites like this is enough to get me pretty angry. Imagine how many you have to put up with as a game journalist. I suppose a professional should be able to take it, though.
Every big release like this gets a retardedly huge amount of hype. The only problem is the way some fanboys like to lash out if you don't agree that their favorite exclusive is the best game ever, when they themselves haven't even played it yet. It happened with Halo 3, and it's happening now with KZ2. Such pointless battles are why I can't stand the Internet these days.
I must say, you Sony people sure are adamant about your exclusives. I just like the feel of Forza better, and I also like the fact that if I hit a wall at 120 MPH, it does noticable damage. The lack of that really takes me out of the game in GT.
No game is worth that much to me, but to each his own.
I'd prefer "TACO'D!"
That announcer could say anything and it would be awesome.
Indeed, some hard times certainly put me back on the right track. Kids these days take everything they have for granted.
I think we should put him to "sleep" by way of some wacky Mortal Kombat fatality. One less little loudmouth on Live...
Besides, why waste a delicious taco?
Haven't you ever spent time on Live? That would help explain it for you. I love my 360 to death, but the community sucks hardcore.
You people are so defensive of GT. I've played both games, and I also felt Forza had a slightly more real feel to it. Besides, you act like he's saying it's a bad game.
Edit: Oops, replied to wrong thing. Meant to put this in 2.
Impressive. Probably one of the coolest, if not the coolest, LE deals I've seen.
I think we're at the point where focusing on improving graphics is hitting a peak. I don't think we really need to get much better than we are now. Just look at games like Killzone 2. Pretty soon, gameplay will be in much greater focus (it really should be the main focus, but it seems to take a backseat sometimes sadly), and graphics will need hardly any work at all. These are games after all. They don't need to be photorealistic.
I think the only thing that needs work in graph...
You can't really confirm anything based on some opinions on websites, but there's at least no doubt that the graphics are amazing. Personally, I just like to enjoy every game individually instead of comparing every last detail between them.
Well, remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. IGN may have just loved the crap out of the game. That is what gaming is about after all, finding the games that suit your tastes the most. Every gamer is entitled to their own choice for GotY.
Personally, I enjoyed the more realistic driving, because it added something new and challenging for me to learn, but I'd take either way for the next game. They'd probably be better off going back to the arcade style, since that seems to be the more popular one.
I don't think MS is really scared at all. They'll make a profit whether they "beat" Sony in the console war or not. And I put that in quotes, because everyone can win if they're making a profit. As long as we're dishing out the money, they win, and as long as they keep putting out good games, we dish out the money.
In conclusion, you're both fanboys. Please go over there ---> if you're going to spew your fanboy crap.
