And that's why they made this article. People focus so much on games like the ones you mentioned that they forget the other releases.
Well, the common theme on this site is that you can only like one console apparently.
Yeah, military sims aren't for everyone. The original game was not easy at all to pick up. They say this one is going to be more accessable without sacrificing the simulation part, so we'll have to see how it plays out. My hopes are high.
Yeah, I'm seriously looking forward to this one. Military sims are seriously lacking these days.
Yeah, I can't afford to get a PS3 to play this. I'd kill for a PC version of it, but I don't see that happening ever.
I really enjoyed GTA2. I think this game will be awesome if they do it right.
Yep, Snake can help people IRL too =)
Always nice to see gamers doing stuff for a good cause.
Hm, I didn't run into any issues with it. Guess I'm lucky. More polish is always welcome, though.
I think the RE series could learn a little from Dead Space. I feel it really moved the survival horror genre to a new level. RE4 really wasn't frightening at all. It was basically an action game with horror themes. Dead Space managed to have the suspense of the older RE games while still being pretty action heavy. I still have faith in Capcom that the game will be worthy of a buy, but at the moment, it doesn't seem like they're doing much to innovate.
Knowing how people think online, I realized it was misleading before I even clicked =)
People love playing with other people's minds.
Alone in the Dark was definitely a great concept, and it had so many good, new ideas going for it, but it just plain failed on execution.
Dead Space wins for me in overall quality, but Condemned 2 definitely creeped me out more. That game doesn't get as much love as it deserves.
That's 7.3% of minutes played, not 7.3 minutes. Read a little closer next time :)
7.3 minutes would be pretty fail. That's probably the CD-i time played around the world.
Well, some games still have colors. Look at Mirror's Edge. Not everything has gone dark yet. Have faith!
Ok, I just realized that I made a terrible pun without noticing right away, Faith being the main character in Mirror's Edge.
Also, that video is awesome.
Indeed, that's very true. My main point was dishing out the money when I already own a 360 just wasn't worth it in my current situation. It's true that given the 2009 lineup, the PS3 is more bang for your buck (heck, even with just the 2008 lineup), but the average consumer doesn't know that when they see an Arcade 360 for half the price of a PS3. That's why I said it's a tossup for those without a console already.
Well said Nip. Not everything has to be a battle here. The entire gaming industry is booming right now, because it's one of the most cost efficient forms of entertainment out there. Bubbles for you, my friend.
Edit: Disagrees? So apparently the entire gaming industry isn't doing well? Ok, just keep thinking that the console you hate is failing, fanboys.
Lack of colors is certainly a common theme in shooters these days. But hey, would you rather have rainbows? =)
Yeah, the cramped design and lack of air flow were the biggest problems with the 360. I'm just being silly =)
Some people are just too blinded by fanboyism to realize the truth. It has indeed been known for a long time that the PS3 is rough to develop for. Carmack pretty much said it perfectly.
