Indeed, regardless of what system you prefer, you can't deny that this game is going to be pretty sweet. Anyone that disagrees with that is just an angry fanboy. Heck, I don't have a PS3, and I won't be getting one until they bring the price down (money is tight these days, eh?), but I sure wish I had one because of games like this.
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to get by with the Halo Wars demo today.
Well, Valve doesn't really "make" games for 360. They do it for PC and port it. Regardless, Gabe just needs to shut his mouth and just say they didn't want to make it for the PS3 because they felt it was too difficult to be worth their time. No need to bash a system that's obviously in pretty good shape. Some people really need to learn how to talk to press without making a fool of themselves.
Also, I agree that this article is pretty pathetic.
It definitely won't overtake DVD in the near future, but it's nice to see it's doing well.
@2.2
So he mentions DVD and you instantly bring in HD-DVD? Are you insecure about Blu-ray or something? He didn't mention it at all. Chill out chief. DVD is going to outpace Blu-ray, because it's extremely cheap. Someday, Blu-ray is going to be the cheap disc and there will be another, better one out that won't sell as well until it becomes cheap. It's an endless cycle.
I really like the shotguns on Battlefield:Bad Company. They look and sound really sweet, and the pumping animation on some of them is just so satisfying to me.
Well, I guess downloading fansubbed anime counts.
Yarr, count me in mateys!
I'm sure the atmosphere and story will be really entertaining for sure. Capcom knows how to get that right. I'm buying it just for that and the co-op. I just wish they'd get with the times on the controls.
If they're going to post such a review, they need to make it apparent in the title that it's only the single-player, and it shouldn't count toward any aggregate score.
Yeah, let's hope Halo games don't go in the kid-friendly direction that Star Wars went.
My thoughts exactly, bud. Bubbles up.
Halo definiltey needs to only put out strong games to not become a dry series. I see nothing wrong with waiting years between the games for a quality product.
Halo has a lot of potential in its universe. I think they still have a lot they could do with it, such as a Ghost Recon style game with marines.
Also, I'd like to see a game that makes Master Chief as hardcore in gameplay as he is in cutscenes. Probably need a third-person game for that, though.
They definitley need to dump the current gameplay. It feels so last gen. Worked great on the Xbox, but the 360 can do so much more than that old machine.
Crosshairs are for rookies anyway ;)
There's lots of immature fanboys that love to disagree here. Don't take it personally, bud.
Wish I could say the same about my basic Verizon DSL. I'm happy when a bandwidth test comes out over 1 Mbps. Maybe happy isn't the right word. Maybe more like content that my connection isn't going half that speed like it tends to do.
Console versions were both pretty bad. PC ftw!
Clearly it is! New ideas don't mean a unique identity. Where have you been?
Seriously though, the look of the Helghast is enough identity for me. I still have a poster of the first Killzone, which I never played, in my room because the dude looks so darn cool. Plus, the only other game I've seen that tried to do a FPS cover system was Medal of Honor Airborne, and that game was less than stellar, though I thought the cover system was pretty neat. It's good to see a FPS cover sys...
Exactly why I generally don't care about review scores. I base my decisions by weighing the good and bad. Army of Two was one of my favorite games of last year, yet it certainly didn't get stellar reviews. People are far too obsessed with numbers and forget what games are really about. It's about what you enjoy playing, not what somebody else enjoys.
Yeah, it's sad news that it happened, but it doesn't really fit gaming news at all.
Yeah, it's not unsettling at all. It's a good thing, because bots help spur in-game money inflation, which can make things a major pain for the more casual players. Well, at least gold farming bots do.
It's not just Live. It's any online medium. These people will do anything to get at the kids.
I had fun with the campaign of the first one, but it still had the exact same frustrations that I had with BF2. Some guns are so unnecessarily inaccurate (try any LMG =\) and trying to work with teammates to get health back and stuff is just impossible if you play alone. Health cabinets would have been nice. Gotta find a way to make the game more fun when teamwork is impossible with dumb Xbox Live goers.
My favorite thing about the first game was the sound of the guns, though. Ni...
