using the PS3 controller for these kinda games is the best, along with the PC.

yea well we could compare the ps3 which launched with the 8800gtx. Both are equally aged. yet the 8800gtx will beat the ps3 in just about any multiplat or even the up coming crysis 2.
Which means ps3 was outdated even before it launched. There isnt a game the ps3(or 360) can beat the 8800gtx at, and the 8800gtx by todays pc standard is quite ancient.

runs any of todays multiplats @ 1080p, no console can claim that. That defeats the argument of 6months upgrades.
Activision doesnt have anything asides COD. Anything else they tried to pull recently has failed.
This is all due to their attitude of milking their customer base, giving them the same game over and over again. People may buy the same game 2-3times though that doesnt work over a period of time. This is what is happening with Activisions titles.

Tf2 is still one of my favorite shooters, even with BC2 out. L4d2 still gets its share of playtime.
With the modding community and the quality of Valve games it just never gets old.
Edit: come to think of it leaving asides Nintendo who do their own thing. Valve and Blizzard are the most profitable developers in the gaming industry. Nothing can touch PC gaming with those 2 around.
bots arent getting much either. the Xbox release is just to milk xbox users. The Real game will be supported on PC platform. What xbox gets in comparison to PC will be a joke just like any other valve title.

PC is the best value for money imo specially since you already have one. It only needs a 100usd gpu to outperform the ps3 multiple times.
you can use ps3 or the 360 controler on the pc(wirelessly or wired), take your pick ;-)

i been gaming on pcs since 1995, snes was the last console i touched. and from what i can recall. i been gaming @1080 since 2000. Consoles wont touch 1080p on all their games until the next gen which will be 2013-2014, that puts consoles upto 13yrs behind for me atleast. i refuse to go back to sub 1080p.

a budget pc with a decent gpu will outperforrm consoles all the time. i could make a 600-700usd pc run circles around consoles.
and int he long run due to cost of games being high on consoles the pc will be cheaper.

Consoles going DD wouldnt be a good thing for the console users. First retail sales would plummet(would take time but eventually it would take its toll).
Later on Xbox games will only be sold on GOD while sony games only on PSN (this places the control of prices only in the hands of 2 companies which is a bad thing). With the PC what happens is there is competition you got Steam, d2d, EA, gamestop many more, they all compete against each other to give good deals etc.

I was going to buy AC2, however with this DRM in place and the 59usd price i see no reason for purchase.
Infact I will not be buying anymore Ubisoft games. I have a copy of Farcry 2. I use it sometimes to benchmark my system. Recently after some hardware upgrades and a windows reinstall the game wouldnt allow me to install because i had reached the maximum install limit. I am not paying for using the game as a benchmark, Id rather crack it.

The PC vesion is great. i have 30hs on the original one, and 45hours on the second one. Probably the best multiplayer shooter of last year far head of games like borderlands etc.
must be cool paying for the same thing again and again.
marginal improvements may be had. i think naughty dog already has done a very good job on the ps3.
360 is also showing its running near limit since, there was no reason not to render its exclusives such as halo in 720p, 360 couldnt handle it which could be the only reason halo is not hd.
friend of mine just played it on a 4870x2 gpu, runs perfectly fine.
personally i have never had any problems running a "the way its ment to be played game" on an ati gpu. Sure some effects might be missing. I am fine with it as long as both ati and nvidia users get a well optimised game. i got few rigs with nvidia on em, and some with Ati so far no problems with any of them running any game.
though i would like to see how eyefinity performs on different...
