dont think any of these titles mentioned on the ps3 surpass the graphics of multiplat games on pc. let alone crysis.

Its a trend which came with consoles this generation. Console gamers need to stop supporting this as a community. Pc gamers need to play their part too. If we stop paying for Dlcs, that may make a difference on the other hand if we keep it up its going to become common for every other game.
how would you change the games on the ps3? you'd be limited to playing the games you have installed via psn or the game disk present on the ps3.
Also if you did decide to travel further, say outside the country this tech wouldnt hold up. IMO a gaming laptop is the best.

i need a laptop for my traveling anyways, i am sure many of us need laptops anyways getting a gaming capable one costs a little extra. So i got a sager for 1500usd comes equipped with a gtx260. Plays all games @ 1080p. Also has a hdmi slot so i can plug it into any tv.
I also have a sony Dualshock configured to run on this laptop wirelessly. Once plugged into a tv it feels like a super overpowered ps3 running all games at 1080 60fps. its awesome.

umm.. no constant upgrades is a myth. go check out igns head to heads for evidence, dont take my word on it.
Ign still uses a 8800gtx in their head to heads(quite ancient). The 8800gtx always manages to put consoles to shame.
its a fact if consoles were cheaper then pc in the long run, microsoft and sony would never make a profit. Consoles are far far more costly then a PC in the long run.
not only did ya buy 20 games, got to play a superior version. you saved atleast 200-300usd compared to getting console versions, thats pretty big in my eyes.
you seriously need to stop beliveing everything sony and its developers will tell you. its not that hard running games in 1080p provided the hardware has enough resource.
Give it a thought for a moment, how much bragging rights and extra publicity would sony get if all their games could be run in 1080P. Id tell ya it would be enough to screw over the Xbox completely. PC is doing great overall.
Companies like Microsoft and Sony can try kill it, even the press ignores it. PC just keeps trucking along growing every year, seeing a console die generation after generation.
Being the longest living platform unsupported by any company and still doing so well is great.
id like to see the cell do 1080p 4xaa 60fps on all its titles then... until then its stoneage for me, atleast in its current setup.
ps3 only does 1080p in less then 10% of its games, cell+rsx would have to improve on that to gain any credibility in my eyes.
you should check my post history then lol, playing on a milkbox or the lowresstation is the last thing i would do.
there is no such thing as engine not being ready for higher res, and its not that hard to make a game run on higher res if the system has the resources(which in this case the ps3 doesnt).
why not use the full power of the ps3.

On topic, the ps3 and 360 version will be very simular since both of them are equally outdated.
Superior version obviously being PC. If the 360 was much more powerful then the ps3 then it would be closer to the PC version which it wont be (same goes for the ps3).

2000usd for a rig? might i ask what sort of parts you intend to build that one with? i could make you a top notch rig for 1500usd. I dont know where you get 2000usd from.
for 700usd you would get a rig that runs all of todays games @ maxxed out settings(hence there is no point of a 1500usd rig unless you wanna play crysis @1080p 4xaa extreme graphics with 60fps).

you could have a monster rig for as much as 1500usd. even alienware wont cost you 6000usd lol.
to outperform consoles you only need a 600-700usd rig. Later on since games are cheaper on pc, pc becomes cheaper in the long run. Also dont be fooled by the xbox 360's 300usd price tag, every game bought on the 360 or the ps3 costs more, plus you need to pay for...

this is a benchmark showing how 5770 runs on the original crysis in 1080p. crysis 2 isnt as taxing as the first one, since the maps are smaller. Id say you should expect around 40-45fps @1080p with no AA. Turn on 2x AA and you might be down to 30-35fps @1080p.

well the 360 did catch up momentarily, however the ps3 was outdated before it even lauched. 8800gtx launched the time ps3 launched.
ps3 is yet to produce a game that looks better then whatever the 8800gtx can do(which is crysis 1 on high settings in 1080p no AA).

just another game pc will rock. with the lowered requirements, id say even a 8800gtx will handle this game just fine(of course the super high settings probably will struggle, however 8800gtx will out perform consoles yet again).
you bought them cause they were the cheapest thats what your problem was.
never compromise the graphics system of a machine, cause once you compromise on that, nothing will overcome that compromise no cpu will.
I have a older rig with a 8800gtx from 3 years back. it still does 1080p in all games(asides crysis), something consoles cant do.
imo you need to research before making purchases.
u dont need to look for exclusives. Multiplats on pc will out do any console exclusives.
Arma 2 is a pc exclusive for you, it looks better then any console exclusive.
