Not sure why you got even one disagree.
OT: Not a bad title (though it pales in comparison to the Silent Hill games of Team Silent).
Somehow, I think the PC I'll have soon:
- i7 3770K @ 3.5GHz
- GTX 690
- 32GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz (RAM)
- 2TB HDD
- 256GB SSD
...will already be ahead of all next gen consoles before they even release. Still, I'm not the most tech savvy PC guy, so hearing that this might actually help performance is music to the ears!
Shame you get so many disagrees for telling the truth on N4G. Oh well.
Not really. Just many sought to throw them in the same category because of their similarities in libraries. Outside of that, the PS3 and 360 are quite different and are at odds with many of their offerings.
OT: I'm curious about what Nintendo has packed in this thing, but either way, I will eventually want one for ZombiU alone. The game is shaping up very nicely!
Make no mistake, I love the PS3 as much as the next guy, but a 2011 high-end PC would, literally, run lap-after-lap around it.
You don't have / need to upgrade your PC every time a high-powered title comes out. Also, it will be quite a long time (if ever) before consoles match PC.
Since you never want to game on a PC, it's understandable that you would turn a blind eye to it and not have everything quite right. However, that will never negate the fact that if you want the very best from game visuals / fps / effects, the PC is the place to go.
And this article knows 100% of the American market's opinions?
Something tells me that you're are either A. joking, or B. were never interested in The Last Of Us to begin with.
OT: Good. I'd prefer they focus on robust content and a rich story line!
Right on!
I can understand some of the skepticism, but this article is poorly written.
I'm not sure I follow. Are you claiming that Microsoft has unique software and console features while Sony doesn't? I realize your single bubble prevents a response, but if that's such the case, you really don't know much on the subject.
OT: As NYC_Gamer said, I expect MS/Sony to have their own things to offer up. Whether or not they can overtake the WiiU is a wait-and-see scenario right now.
Indeed, but then with any successful medium, there will be nay-sayers. Just the nature of objectivity (even though I'm completely with you).
Agreed. People instantly want to peg it as "just an interactive movie", but then wonder why these types of games control the way they do. To me, I don't consider this an interactive movie because unlike the interactive movies of the 80s and 90s, Cage's games allow for much more control.
And I 100% agree about pacing and QTEs.
Thankfully, this isn't an interactive movie either.
OT: Anyway, that's quite the achievement if true.
How is Team ICO even remotely close to this when the same people who have been working on their games from the beginning are still working on The Last Guardian?
Every game isn't about a challenge. In fact, David Cage's games are always different, but they are rarely ever about a challenge. It's the story nd characters, and for people like me, that's all the game needs.
If I want a challenge, I won't look for it from a game that never promised it.
Unless of course that game is Unreal Tournament III on PS3. :P
You mean just two people who's comments you should have no issue ignoring unless you, yourself, have an insecurity?
Good thing this outlook isn't contagious. :)
Just pre-ordered Lucius with Play-Asia!
