Why waste your one bubble on a useless post? :D
OT: I like this new look. So long as it navigates as good to match, I'm happy.
Hmmm, I agree that much of this article is nonsense, despite the few, very few, points he makes.
Still, despite those points, we know basically nothing of Sony's 4th home console. So, at best, this is an article that uses very little sense, but mainly serves to blow lots of smoke. I wouldn't give it much thought, otherwise.
The title of this article is misleading. He didn't say "we're not a gaming company, but an entertainment company", however he says: "we’ve always been an entertainment company, going all the way back to the Hanafuda Cards and our key equities. We’re an entertainment company." Basically not negating the gaming side of his branch at all.
I wouldn't read so much into it and I'm sure Reggie knows his company is as much an entertainment hub as i...
If nothing else, it complements Sony's games. The fact that such an expectation is generally placed on them to deliver, at least to me, says that their games are known to do things many others don't.
And I 100% agree that the nitpicking over the word "revolutionary" is pointless.
Why harp on a word used to describe the game? You don't think it's revolutionary, some do. Just the nature of opinion.
From where I'm sitting, there isn't a game quite like this one. Since you're the one claiming nothing is really all that "revolutionary" here, what other games are like The Last Of Us?
Have a read at what KnaveX said above. It's pretty much spot on.
I've yet to see any game play out the way this one does. Revolution or not, it's unique enough to stand on its own two feet (and stand out from the rest).
The title basically answers the question it's asking: why "buy" the same game yearly?
Honestly, Call of Duty gets bashed a lot, sometimes I think it's justified (in the case of Modern Warfare 2) and sometimes not (I thought Black Ops was a great game). Despite all of that, if there's not much of an upgrade from a previous iteration, and yearly releases occur, it's pointless to pick up the new title.
I wouldn't expect them to even match this, let alone exceed it. In fact, I think people are putting a much higher expectation on next gen consoles than they'll be able to deliver. I could be wrong, really - I'd love to be, I just don't see it happening much different.
Sony isn't in the greatest position right now, agreed, but many journalists and supposed "gamers" find more time to attract to news such as this, like bees to honey, rather than acknowledging what Sony has been offering lately - games, in abundance.
In truth, Sony may / may not be OK in the end, but you nor this journalist know that for sure.
"Mods will always be PC exclusive".
Eh, Unreal Tournament III and LittleBigPlanet (both on PS3), beg to differ.
Still, no doubt one of the greatest attributes to PC gaming has been modding. Depending on who you talk to more mods on console could be either great or awful.
There aren't enough words to describe how ridiculous (and 100% inaccurate) this post is. So 720p is sub-HD now? Yeah, no.
Then you'll need a PS3. It won't be on the 360 - wouldn't make sense anyway, given the history is with Nintendo and Sony and this will sell a lot in Japan.
So I'm guessing you're itching to buy a new PS3 (or a PS3 at all)? Because if not, I don't see why this would affect you.
Couldn't have put it better myself. Sad when a gaming company gets more grief than respect, even when they DID bring games!
Which is irrelevant to it being an amazing game.
OT: I will grab this up along with DoA 5!
Using your lonesome bubble to offer a useless post. Nice. :D
OT: I'm sure there will be plenty of reason to pick up Judgment (if you're a Gears fan), but it does often times look more like an extension of Gears 3. Still, can't judge it based on a few videos only showing multi-player and the word of one source.
Are you suggesting them being acquired was the reason for their downfall?
OT: Contrary to many, I really enjoyed SOCOM 4. Curious to see where Sony takes this franchise.
Right now, Nintendo has a lot to prove with the WiiU, despite being the right track. Sure, things weren't so funny when they were selling millions, but they're first out of the gate this time because the Wii was still behind in a crucial area, the "core" (for lack of a better word) market.
Regardless of the want / need for new hardware, if there's not enough to pull the "core" from Microsoft / Sony, the year head-start (at least) won't loo...
The GameCube came in third place last gen.
OT: Premature prediction without proper hardware / software reveals for the other two (at least) competitors.
No texture pack is fine with me, so long as the stock ones aren't hideous and of lower quality to accommodate the consoles version(s).
