You're seriously comparing a game just unveiled a year ago to a game that TOOK 10 years to come out? Ask yourself how that works.
Eh, Beyond: Two Souls has the best character models I've seen, but The Last Of Us will probably win more graphics awards in 2013 than any other game from the 360 or PS3.
Doubt it. Halo is a quality series, it takes much more than 365 days to accomplish that feat.
Because this is, likely, a PlayStation-only title.
Why even waste your time quoting him? Just look at the post history and bubbles (or lack thereof) to know that it's not worth the effort.
Comments don't get much more ignorant than this.
Nail. On. The. Head. Though the article does make it apparent that it happens more than to just the WiiU. ;)
Well lets see, Bioshock and Assassin's Creed are 2007 games (he did say THESE DAYS and these days, both of those franchises have a multi-player element). Besides, his statement was general and made plenty of sense, single player-only franchises now have to add multi-player, be it from gamer request or because they'd like to capitalize on the property. Why do you think, ironically, that those two IPs (as well as Dead Space, God of War, Uncharted, and GTA) added the feature? I'm not...
My thoughts exactly.
PC gamers don't want to just settle for a sub-par experience, and to some, that's what Crysis 2 was. I own it on PC, and with mods installed (MaLDO + Black Fire 2), I have to dig deep to find a better looking game. On consoles, however, it was a complete travesty. THEY should have been just as vocal.
"Halfway decent movies", sounds like a personal problem.
The point is just because you don't like the games (or think they would make bad movies) doesn't mean everyone else should follow your lead, based on your quote: "I'll never understand the love that Quantic Dream gets." The simple answer to that is it isn't all about you.
His games are still that, video games. Adding "interactive movie" at the end doesn'...
So we should judge games based on how good of movies they'd make? Well, if that's the case, most of gaming would completely suck as films.
Judge the merits. Quantic Dream is known to entertain their fans / audience. That's what matters.
Three of those games are my most anticipated upcoming releases!
One here ;)
Which is not only going to prove wrong, but wouldn't make sense in the slightest.
So every game should be on every platform? What would be the point of multiple systems?
What if you own a high-end PC AND both the PS3/360? Who's missing out then? :P
OT: Wasn't expecting it, but I'd gladly buy it if it was released for the platform.
Yeah, because the console versions will likely have large (mandatory) installs instead.
And as far as FPS titles go, nothing more precise than keyboard/mouse. ;)
OT: No problems here. I have a 2TB HDD and 256GB SSD.
Uncharted 3, Zelda, LittleBIGPlanet 2, and Batman: Arkham City would all disagree that Skyrim was alone. In fact, it was one of the biggest battles for GOTY this gen has seen.
OT: For all intents and purposes, an 89 on Metacritic probably won't Halo 4's chances at all. I expect it to be a substantial contender.
Seems fairly obvious you've not spent much time gaming on a PC.
OT: 2012 was definitely a big year for the PC. I built my first custom rig (which includes the GTX 690, i7 3770K, and 32GB of RAM), and I feel like I'm late to the party. Should have done this years ago.
