As for which console to choose, if you have to choose only one, would depend on which games most interest you at launch.
PS4 has more power though from a hardware perspective if that matters to you.
Enjoy whatever machine you choose and game on!
Don't tell me what to buy. I have the money and if I think MK8 is worth the price of admission then I'll buy. Simple as that.
From what I've seen, it's worth the price of a Wii U. Plus Zelda, Mario, SSB, etc.
This is what worries me about Microsoft. I think they emptied the chamber of games for this years E3 - what comes after? I know Sony has games lined up for a nice and even flow for the next few years. Sony's track record proves this. Microsoft not so much.
We shall see.
I accidentally disagreed with you - meant to agree. I gave you a bubble instead :)
You are so right!
You forgot - these games are fun and sell very, very well so many people want them.
Quality should always be number one - even if it means delays. Well said Iwata!
Naughty Dog, Bungie and Polyphony Digital understand this as well.
MK8 looks fantastic! I went to the best buy event and that game blew me away. So did DK Country and Super Mario.
I thought Nintendo showed great software. This is why I bought a Wii U so I could finally play Nintendo classics in HD. I have a PS3 (soon PS4) for everything else.
Putting this on PS3/4 along with all first party Nintendo games would be a financial stroke of genius - however never going to happen.
Me too!
@pat
Cloud computing can be done by any device that has access to the Internet. Microsoft has just latched onto it as marketing speak - and marketing speak is all it is.
Both the PS3/4 and Wii/Wii U could do the same thing. just setup a server farm to crunch data and send it back to the console over the Internet.
True, but most won't be available at launch which makes me wonder what will be available at launch? What do I buy if I'm not a racing fan? Ryse doesn't interest me. Killer Instinct would be a must buy but I'm afraid that would be it.
Sony at least has a few decent titles at launch along with some interesting F2P titles. I preordered 4 titles with my PS4. Haven't preordered any XBone titles yet.
Oh yeah I forgot! More Guns Hurray!!!

I thought Nintendo's first party games looked fantastic. They looked fun as hell! Isn't that what gaming is all about?
Can't wait to get them myself.
Awesomeness it shall be! Enjoy!
It's like Sony dusted off the blueprint for the PS2 launch and reused it for PS4. Great work Sony - so far!
I love the speed of this game. It very much looks like a KI game - albeit with a different art style.
I want to see B. Orchid!
I was thinking the same thing. The Last of Us looks better graphically than most anything I saw at the show.
I liked how Microsoft showed a lot of games even if many were multiplats - this goes for Sony too.
BUT, what is Microsoft's track record with hardcore games support? The first couple of years game support is good and then they chase the next fad and forget about the real gamers - you know, the ones who paid full price for a launch system and the "promise" of great games.
Talk is cheap. Sony has proven since the PS1 that it's always about the...
Dude, Rayman is awesome no matter what your age - I'm 43 by the way.
A good game is a good game.
Sony is sure to provide AAA games for the duration of this new generation. Microsoft has proven otherwise with the last two generations.
PS4 for me.
