This is great, but remember this

The PS4 reminds we of the great feeling I had back in 1996 when the above video launched at retail stores.
I would understand this due to the PS3 large install base, but I would think Sony would want a "System Seller" to drive PS4 adoption.
I would like to see it on PS4, but maybe Sony has a dual release planned for both PS3 and PS4.
Should be interesting.
Enough already!
If current gen games are so important to you then don't upgrade until you are ready. Just because a PS4 or 720 is out does not mean you have to upgrade.
Wait until you are ready and then take the plunge. I can't play my SNES/N64 cartriges on my Wii U but I'm not complaining.
Jeez, bitch, bitch, bitch. Sometimes I think N4G is filled with 80 year old ladies.
I'll be right there with ya (figuratively).
I've been day one for every console since PS1.
I love how you get disagrees!
It's YOUR money and you can spend how you see fit. Your logic is sound and I'm sure many will do the same.
I will have it day one! I just have to :)
People generally know what the price will be - $399 - $499.
I'll preorder without knowing the price - if it's less than above prices then great, if it's more then so be it. I want it and I can afford it.
Nuff said!
I learned it has power, a great controller and that I can pee my pants when I get really excited :)
I agree. While I understand disappointment in no true BC it is not a deal breaker for me. I want new and shiny games on my PS4.
I'll keep my PS3 hooked up until I no longer care about the old games and then put the PS3 back in the box and store it in my closet until the day I want to hook it up again for nostalgia.
Good comment. Good comments are in short supply around here :)
Have a bubble +
I'm not going to say which controller is better over the other - that is a personal preference.
I have been using the dualshock since the PS1 days and that is what I am most comfortable with. However, I do like the 360 controller for FPS's.
I can imagine those with large hands though would hate the dualshock since it is smaller.
No, it's you that don't get it!
Many of us have been using the dualshock since the PS1 days and we are comfortable with it.
I have no problem with the 360 controller, but I prefer the dualshock.
We can assume Sony's new upload/download chip in the PS4 will handle this aspect.
From the press conference you can bet there will be no immersion breaking syncing/installing/downloading anymore. We shall see.
@CommonSenseGmer
Oh I know all games won't be 60fps, it's not necessary for every game. I was just referring to the capability of the PS4.
1080P/60FPS w/smooth anti-aliasing.
The PS4 should have no problem with that. That is what I was hoping for and that is what we got.
Good job Sony on the hardware specs.
The only people who complain about this are financially poor. They want a PS4 but plan on trading their PS3 toward it.
I say quit spending all their energy complaining and do something to make themselves more marketable and thus worth more in the matketplace.
They should keep their playstation 3 until they can afford to upgrade.
I know some only want one system in their cabinets, shelves, etc - I get that, but most complaining are probabely f...
What are you like 10 years old? You can post and I can post on N4G doesn't that make us equal in intelligence?
Answer: HELL NO!
I really wish the internet had a compentency test for users. My head hurts after reading the stupidity of some of these posts.
You know why no price was mentioned? They are waiting to see what Microsoft has on tap first. It's called a strategic business move.
How is any game coming to a platform a bad thing? You don't like then don't buy it.
The article states that the PS4 has a weak lineup. From what I heard, Sony has not announced the lineup, let alone shown all their cards?
Hate, Hate, Hate. People are so angry these days. Nothing is good enough.
Also people would rather exchange AAA games for phone games - really???
Deus Ex or Skyrim, Fallout, etc for Cut the Rope. Yeah Cut the Rope FTW!

I agree with you - I LOVE PLATFORMERS! Knack looks interesting - will need to see more at E3.
Exciting times to be a Playstation 4 gamer - that is, once we actually get the system in our hands :)
