I'm looking forward to this very much! For me, this was a great announcement.
Not trying to be argumentative, but do you have broadband? If so, why would other people not having it impact you?
Also, it sounds like current gen games are still your priority, hence your concern for BC, so why not keep your PS3 until you are ready to move to the PS4 and then upgrade? Price and games may be cheaper by that point.
To move forward, sometimes we have to let go. If you do not want to let go, then stay put with PS3.
No - that is a perfectly acceptable response to this video :)
Exactly! GT was fantastic for this event.
Stream looked beautiful on my iPad.
So True!
The system could spit out $20 bills and Haters would still hate because they were not $100 bills.
I'm reading mostly positive thoughts online and the ones that aren't are because of no hardware BC. So my suggestion is if BC is such a sticking point for them then play the PS3 until they are tired of it and then move to next gen. Because lets face it, these people were never going to upgrade anyways.
If anybody was disappointed then I would really like to know what they were expecting? Don't say price because anybody with basic common sense knows price would not be revealed - at least until they know what the competition has in store.
This was just an unveiling, E3 should hold the answers to the rest of the questions. People want to know more and that gets them excited for E3 - job accomplished by Sony!
The fact that developers are stoked for this uni...
Triggers look fixed to me. Hardware BC would be preferred, but come on now, most are not willing to pay for it if the PS3 launch system is any indication.
Hardware BC requires the Cell which equates to a higher launch price - was never going to happen.
I second that!
Games are my escape from work, etc. However, I know many enjoy social aspects of gaming (I did when I was in my 20's) so both camps are catered to.
Bravo Sony.
It sounds like Sony has given everything to everybody :)
Social for those who like it and not required for those who don't.
I'm impressed with how Sony is starting the PS4 roll out. It looks like they really are for "PLAY"
Great!
So it plays used games, does not require constant internet connection and has powerful specs and they seemed to fix the install/update issues that many complain about with the PS3 - job well done Sony.
Take my money now!
Sure Sony made some mistakes early in this generation, BUT they have more than made up for it with great games and PS+
Note to haters - I know MS has screwed you over with Kinect and you are angry, but taking it out on Sony will not help you heal.
Deep breath, get a PS3 and enjoy what we all like to do - GAME!
Too bad they are nothing I want to play - so they are irrelevant to me.
I hope the simple point and shoot variety is on the downfall, but the type like Deus Ex I hope we see more of.
I hate that response "Get a PC". I have a PC but to this day I still cannot play the games I like to play. You know Uncharted, Gears, Halo, Heavy Rain and so on.
Oh man ... How about another Colony Wars on PS4 hardware? My mind would explode.
I was on my honeymoon the year before the PS1 release and I walked into an arcade (remember those?) and saw Tekken for the first time.
I could not wait for the PS1 to be released.
Sony had excellent marketing for the PS1.
I'm kind of getting the same vibe for the PS4 that I had back in 1995 when the PS1 launched :)
If the PS4 can render graphics like the original PS3 CGI trailers then my mind would be blown - especially in regards to Motorstorm.
Mind Blown!
:)
You said it! Game on my friend.
