Don't you know that we all know how to spend your money better than you?
Come on now, your gaming choices don't match mine so you must be wrong :)

Maybe not from a technical perspective, BUT they still have Publishers breathing down their neck to release their product - often before it is done and fully tested.
I would prefer if Valve and Sony could work something out that Steam was on PS4 - instead of a dedicated steam box. Hardware wise, it should be possible I would think.
Just wishful thinking I guess.
Agreed! The first couple of years were FANTASTIC on Xbox. The last couple? I could so care less.
Microsoft will have to give me (a member of the Hardcore) a reason to care again.
Translation - original and exciting IPs with no word of Kinect anywhere on the box. Otherwise, I'll just stay with PS4 only next gen.
That's OK. Nintendo Fans won't get much anyway :)
I's sure E3 will reveal more, but what is this game about? It seems all we have been shown is a guy walking around a city. There was a chase and some hacking, but what is the purpose of this.
I guess E3 will explain more - I hope. I'm just not sure why I should be hyped for this.
I thought the demo was pretty epic - got me pumped for the full game.
If the first thing you think about is backwards compatibility - then you are not ready to move to the next generation.
Just stay with the current gen until ready. Most of those who complain about this are those who need the trade-in credit to purchase the next system. Well gaming companies are a business not a charity.
Well, we still have The Last of Us for survival horror - I think? Not sure if TLOU is survival horror.
Sony is not going to announce games for November 2015 at E3 2013. Article is reaching a bit for release dates that far into the future.
Oh no PS4 is doomed!

I don't buy used games - but many do and I get that. If Sony truly is about "Play" and for the "Gamer", restricting used games would seem to fly in the face of those statements.
Anyone who would "want" to play Killzone 4 on their phone should be horse whipped for being so stupid and denied all videogame access for the rest of their natural life.
It's just unnatural and very disturbing.
If this is a Mass Effect exclusive deal, then I will be forced to buy both PS4 and Xbox 720. I was hoping for only the PS4 next gen due to time constraints.
Oh well, I knew I would get both anyway - want Alan Wake 2 also. Can't blame Microsoft for a strategic business move. Sony will/has those too.
Next gen should be fun :)
I agree with you. I was EXTREMELY excited for the Dreamcast when that came out, but the PS4 has taken it to a new level.
And yes, the Dualshock 4 is a mighty attractive controller.
@profgerbik
I feel your pain man!
Even though cell tech is advancing at a ridiculous clip, I don't think any developer or publisher will throw 10-20+ million dollars to create cell/tablet games like they do for console and PC. AAA gaming will remain a console/PC thing - thank goodness.
Especially since the "Apps" would only sell if they are priced between $.99 - $5.
Great comment and interesting take on the Gaikai demos.
If Sony can pull off everything they said they could with PS4/Gaikai integration, then this could be a wow moment in gaming.
Time will tell.
If the Deep Down demo is indicative of what we can expect from full fledged games on the PS4, then specs don't matter other than as discussion points.
That Deep Down demo is better than anything I have ever seen in gaming. How could it get better looking than that? Throw in all the physics, particle effects and wow, I'm more than satisfied on the graphics front.
Of course assuming that is really what some games will look like.
GHz has a lot less meaning than it used to. It's all about the number of cores and this chip is 64 bit - not sure what cellphones are - 32 bit? It's also about the synergy between components - I don't think the PS4 has to worry about cell phones eclipsing it's power in it's lifetime.
The day a cellphone can run games that look like Killzone and Deep Down will be a long time from now - if ever.
Considering the leaked specs had the PS4 at 8 ...
I agree with you. MS will have to wow me, but even then they have shown that they will abandon their core audience in a heartbeat - just look at Xbox and Xbox 360.
Burn me once shame on you. Burn me twice shame on me. Likely not going to happen a third time.
