Sony took a couple of features away but added a ton over the life of the PS3. The PS3 today resembles nothing of the limited launch system as far as features go.
The features that Sony took away were likely used by less than 1% of the PS3 user base (i.e Other OS)

Maybe people just don't like motion gaming - at all in any form.
Because the always on connection was dropped too. If not connected then MS cannot check if the person accessing your game is part of your "family".
PS+ 1 hour time trials of games has been on PS for 1-2 years now? I use it all the time.
I think Microsoft's take on it was a bit more robust because it was any game you buy and share - oh well.

Not going to support this product. Besides they don't have any decent studios producing games like Sony does year in year out. Sony has a proven track record for games all the way back to the PS1.
Nothing. PS4 has better specs and a better portfolio of 1st party studios - and is cheaper.
Well, I would think most early adopters would have a surround receiver with plenty of open HDMI ports. However, many low cost receivers only have 4 hdmi ins which could pose a problem if you have all systems and a cable box and a blue-ray player, etc.
