To be fair the graphics are stylized. They probably made that decision because of the large world (at least in part), but that's still how it's supposed to look. I mean you can't say Okami looks like bad just because it was done in a calligraphy style rather than realistic 3D.
I haven't played it, but it is obviously a niche genre game. You'll either love it or hate it.
I could write a list of all the PS3 exclusives you're missing out on, but I don't think you'd care. I could ask you what's the point of owning a 360? Gears and Halo are the most common answers. There are a lot of exclusives on the PS3 as well. Just because you don't know about them, or like them doesn't mean they don't exist.
Killzone is just an FPS, just like Halo is. FPS games are fun, and this is the best looking console FPS I've ever seen.
Believe whatever you want to believe. In my opinion the PS3 has way more good exclusives. The 360 has MORE games because it had a year lead (which people such as yourself are so eager to forget). If you think people care about games like perfect dark, then you're wrong. Nobody is going to buy a 360 to play exclusives like that.
There is still no reason to get a 360 (imo). I can get all the good 360 games on a PC and play them online for free. I also won't get the RROD or scratch ...
Being a 360 fanboy doesn't make you better than him. Keep it in the open zone, both of you.
That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I really hope you were being sarcastic.
There are obviously crazy fanboys on each side, but if I recall correctly, LBP was the first game to get hammered by fanboy hate on Metacritic. That's just an example, but you get my point (or maybe not, you do come off as crazy and kind of a fanboy yourself).
This game isn't even a real exclusive, so I don't know why anyone would even care.
Anyway, you're supposed to be i...
Does Sony or even the developers of a game get money for rentals though? Because I see that type of strategy increasing rentals but not sales. I wouldn't buy a mediocre title for trophies, but I might rent it if the trophies meant something (more than your level).
And then you'd have developers dumb-ing down the games trophies for more sales (or rentals if they even see that money). I don't think a real monetary reward system would work.
It'd be awesome for us, but ...
None of the games on that list particularly interest me. Crysis was OK, but I really couldn't get into Mass Effect. StarCraft and Diablo just aren't genres I like.
Splinter Cell looks like it went down the wrong path. It's supposed to be stealth and the trailer made it look like a brawler. Granted, it also says Holiday 2007, so I guess a lot could have changed.
Left 4 Dead and Project Offset I would love on the PS3. Project Offset doesn't look real though. Something ...
Selling consoles isn't Microsoft's main priority?
And stop posting that Gears GOTY nonsense. I'm sure its an awesome game and will sell well, but it won't win GOTY. LBP and Fallout have a much better chance.
I love how you think you can say that when you probably voted for Bush BOTH times. Yeah...our country is 100% better after him.
Like I said before, if Obama's presidency is worse than Bush's, I'll eat my face.
I'm sorry, but you are all horrible people. First of all I can't believe that you actually bought into the whole Socialism spin that Fox News spoon fed your stupid ass. And I can't even begin to understand how you go off the wall on the prospect of something like universal health care and totally ignore things like the bank bailouts. Basically what that says is you'd rather let people die than lose a little money (which people are basically gambling anyway). And socialism just saved all those...
It is clearly vented (although I can't say how well), and supposedly designed by Microsoft.
Wtf are you talking about?
I think you got liberal and conservative mixed up. If you think Fox News doesn't do sh!t like this all the time, then you're wrong.
I find that really ironic since the government just issued a bailout for the banks. Free market my ass.
And if Obama's presidency is worse than Bush's, I'll eat my face.
The only people that care about this type of thing are the fanboys.
I'd take a bunch of Sony exclusives over a slightly superior looking Spider-Man Web of Shadows (what a winner!). That's why I got a PS3. I'd be willing to bet that people with a 360 got it for the same fudging reason.
Oh my god! Multi-platform games look slightly different on each platform! The ridiculously minor differences could be easily spotted with a Microscope!
No one cares.
Story is part of presentation, characters and immersion...
And Bioshock and MGS4 were both great games. The story helped make them that way. You might sell them off after you play them, but that doesn't mean they aren't good. Plus MGS4 has MGO which gives it a longer life span, like most games with multiplayer. COD4 had a great story and was very enjoyable, but the real reason you keep it is for multiplayer.
For single player, story is extremely important, and it's o...
You mention NXE, but Home is coming this year too (hopefully this month). Both consoles had price drops, and the PS3 got a video store. Plus I think the PS3 had a few more exclusive (at least the last few months, I honestly didn't count).
If anything the xbox and PS3 have been neck and neck so far. I don't think there is a clear winner (except the Wii probably, although that's just sales), and definitley don't think there is a clear loser.
Both consoles have improved...
@High Definition
Thanks, but yeah I agree. The PS3 has had a very successful year in my opinion. They definitley delivered on games, and with Home around the corner I'm not disappointed in Sony at all. They give me the games I want (more than I can afford) and that's all I care about.
@vickers500 - Real mature response. How does not liking a game mean you're bad at gaming?
That's his opinion, and I agree with him. There are no neutral people in the game (besides the neutral zone), and everyone hates you. There is no reason why, they just all want to kill you for no reason. Because of that the checkpoints and cars passing are extremely annoying.
There is no story. I felt like I woke up in a jeep at the beginning and everyone knew who I was and why...
Is there a registration page for that? How do you get in?
So your argument is that MS doesn't have any developers willing to put the time and energy into making a game that looks this good?
If a console has the capability, but it can't be realized, then what's the difference?
