So paying for optional things is the same as paying a mandatory fee for playing games online? You don't have to pay anything on the PSN.

You can't spin that no matter how hard you try.

For the millionth time, it's a BETA. If you can't handle the problems, just wait until the final release. You should just be glad you got access this early at all. Sony could have made everyone wait another couple of months. The fact that it's crashing now is good because they're being forced to adapt and add servers to make it run smoother. It just means a better end product.

It'll be up and running in a couple days max. All this whining solves nothing.

I wish there was a report option for "excessive whining."

What part of BETA don't you get? How would Sony even prepare for this? They'd have to get millions of people signing on at once.

Oh wait! That's what they're doing now in the mother fudging OPEN BETA.

It's still a BETA. If you can't handle the issues don't use it until full release. Just because its an open beta doesn't mean all the issues go away.

Beta's are there to iron out the problems. Get over it.

Maybe by a couple of days, but I doubt it. We've waited this long, so I wouldn't go to crazy if they miss it by a day.

To be honest, PSN (at least Home) is probably going to crash today under all the people downloading and jumping into Home. I doubt its going to work 100% off the bat, but its still just a Beta so its to be expected.

Will you be able to keep that stuff though? I thought that'd we'd all have to download a new version and I assume everything will be reset.

I haven't seen any clubhouses, but I bet that'd be a cool way for Clans to meet (as long as it isn't expensive). They should have some sort of free clan support to. I'm not in a clan, but might consider it if it was integrated well with the PSN in Home.

But yeah, I don't intend on spending any money in Home. I have no problem wi...

They obviously agreed to something when signing up for the sites. They have to notify you that your information may be used for other purposes. They also probably put a warning saying only 18 and older can sign up.

They should have had a way to block info from anyone under 18, so they do deserve some sort of punishment, but the kids should know that any info you give online can be used by companies. If they even read any of the warnings they'd know that. And I mean what could So...

Or maybe we just have a different opinion then you do. Not everything is just a fanboy war. And nobody is saying Fallout 3 is sh!t just because we PS3 owners didn't get DLC. See how your argument falls apart? Maybe people were just genuinely disappointed after all the hype.

There are a number of reasons why GTA failed to live up to expectations. Repetitive missions (I only even remember the bank robbery), Plot holes (Michelle is a good example), Bad Multiplayer (IMO, as it was la...

I was gonna say that gun was from the first game, but then I realized you were going for sexual innuendo. Bravo, mission complete. lol.

Also, "in your endo!"

This is probably just a conspiracy theory of mine, since Fable 2 was a good game, but I feel like they gave it GOTY just so they could have Molyneux on to talk about his next projects (even though he ended up not revealing anything).

Maybe I'm just angry that LBP wasn't even nominated though. I mean wtf is that?

6271d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

They must be trying to live it up while they can.

There's really no excuse for being douchebags about it though.

I suppose you're right that people would be tired of reading those arguments. I was just interested to hear your side of the argument.

After reading your previous post I can see why you feel the way you feel, and those are all valid points. I simply overlook the few faults because I enjoyed the overall experience. The post was expertly written too, btw.

Um...okay. You disagree with him and then fail to enlighten us about how MGS4 falls short. And then you start insulting him and basically everyone who prefers the PS3...

I admit he went a bit overboard by saying it was better than any film or book, but MGS4 was a pretty awesome game all around. It had great graphics, outstanding gameplay, and an awesome score. The story was a bit out there (I like science fiction, though, so I didn't mind it), but it wrapped up the series perfect...

In my personal opinion LBP deserves it for the innovations it brought to the table. MGS4 is an extremely close second, only because MGO didn't keep me interested for long enough (although it was fun while it lasted).

It should win, but it probably won't. If MGS4 wins it instead I wouldn't mind, though.

You basically just said yourself that GTA IV doesn't deserve to be rated so highly by pointing out that SA might have been better. Don't pretend that it's flawless either. I personally like the driving (for the most part) as it was more realistic than the past iterations, but the game is far from perfect.

Do you mean to tell me you enjoyed taking your fake friends out to play pool/get drunk/to eat after the first time? Do you not wonder where Michelle went off to, in what I consi...

MGS4 isn't an "interactive movie."

interactive: Any type of media that allows the user to influence and react to it.

(At least that's how I would define it in that usage since moving a robot around in a regular movie wouldn't really).

You cannot change the outcomes of (or influence) the cut scenes, so they aren't technically interactive. Also MGS4 is a game, and has plenty of gameplay so it definitely wouldn't be categorized as a movie.

What games really require you to have gaming skills? Shooters? This isn't a shooter. Really all "gaming skill" is, is knowing how to use a controller, and adapting to new control schemes. From the videos I've seen you still need quick reaction times (for the QTE's).

Also, I don't think simplistic controls make it casual. Just because it is accessible doesn't make it any less "hardcore." It's a mystery game about a serial killer from what I have seen so far. W...

**MEGA SPOILERS**

Actually it would make more sense if he didn't make it. That way the ship could be picked up or crash on a planet spreading the infection (or whatever) even further. That way you'd have a new environment and an excuse for how they got their. They could also hide clues in the game to how it happened just for nostalgia. I'm not sure if it would spread without the marker (or maybe it'd be somehow different), but it did spread on that military ship.

That's the most retarded argument I've ever heard. Why not compare DVD sales to 360 sales?

Oh, because that doesn't make any fudging sense and nobody cares. Nice try though. I like how you think movies and games are the same thing. It really adds to your credibility.
