@aceitman - I think you had to buy Eden during the promotion. If you purchased it before (like I did), then you're SOL.
Can't wait for the update. I couldn't finish the game due to its punishing difficulty. Nothing says "you're wasting you're time" like beating 16/20 waves just to be decimated in the next one.

I thought it ceased publication and PTOM became the official Playstation print magazine. I'm holding PTOM in my hand right now, and there is nothing about fallout in it.

Yeah wtf. I went to like 4 stores and none of them had it. Why is the 21st the only release date I heard of, and yet no one is carrying the game.

I'd think an install would easily clear this problem up. I'd be pretty pissed if they gimped the PS3 version just because not all 360's have a HDD.
I get that both versions are supposed to be the same, but to actively sabotage your game because one console couldn't handle it doesn't sound very fair (or cost effective). If the PS3 has the same issues I won't be buying this game on any platform.

The PSN "gamercard" works fine. It shows me everything I want to know. What people like you fail to realize, is that the PS3 and 360 are NOT the same. If you wanted two consoles with exactly the same features, you should have purchased 2 of the same console.

Either way, the map maker on Far Cry looks pretty awesome. I've always been fond of maps where you assault a main base, so I'll have to make one if this game scores high, and I end up getting it.
I guess that would be one positive for PS3 owners if MGS4 went to the 360. Konami would have to get their ass in gear and release some fudgin trophies (since the 360 requires achievements).

Yeah, I liked the trophies in that game. They weren't impossible to get, but required extra effort and a couple of playthroughs. Dead Space has pretty decent trophies as well. They definitley take some effort, but they aren't impossible.
I hate when they make them so hard to get that its frustrating. I'm talking to you Pixel Junk Eden. It's not even worth trying for the lousy bronze you reward me.
Won't these versions just be patched anyway? And did they actually recall every copy, or are they just holding them for a patch? I'd think it'd be pretty expensive to waste all those bluray discs, just to make nearly identical ones with one missing song.
That's actually a pretty good point. I never thought of it like that. Plus this is Insomniacs second Resistance game this gen, which means they're actually faster as well.

3rd party games went from Nintendo to Sony because Sony had better tech in their console. Also, MS isn't doing that much better than Sony. If it wasn't for the 1 year lead they'd be a whole lot closer in sales. Either way, this isn't really the same situation. The games are going multiplatform, not jumping consoles.
MS paid 50 MILLION for exclusive DLC. Do you really think (essentially) bribing a third party to go multiplatform is above them?
As for Sony's first part...
1. MS already dominates the PC market. Everyone already wants to make software for Windows. I guess I just don't really know what this is referring to.
2. That's fair, but it isn't what I'm mad about. I'm pissed that Microsoft is BUYING previously third party exclusive PS games/franchises.

Well I think that the song writer definitley could have omitted some of the unnecessary expletives he includes in the song. I mean, I was pretty offended when he started talking about my mother in that context. Maybe he just took it a step to far when he started ranting in that section about devil worship and George Bush in a Donkey show. Overall I found it mildly offensive.
