Hey, if MS does lower the price on 360 (as rumored) and they double their install base, you're telling me this isn't coming to 360, even though most of the texture, AI & physics work is already done?
I don’t believe it. They just want everyone to focus on the PC version because it is almost ready for retail. A few months down the road, it will come to 360.

I think the message from Sony is: "We are not making any more 60 GB PS3 system, but we have enough already made that it will be around for awhile."
Still, when they do sell out and if MS does go on with this $100 price drop, Sony is going to have to do something.

That was the vaunted Killzone 2 everyone is talking about? I'm not impressed. It looked washed out and dark to me. Actually, Resistance looks better to me. Maybe the video is bad or something, I'm sure it will look better when it's done.
Halo 3 looked more colorful, but some people don't like that look eaither.

They are all saying that once the 60 GM model is gone, it will be 80 GB model only. The only thing SECA said today is that they have plenty of 60 GB stock and it should not be termed as "discontinued."
Will they make more 60 GB models? No. But is they don't want it to be called discontinued.
Epic is turning into a top-teir developer, up there with the big boys. I think it's great that they are doing unique projects on each console. We need more developers like this.
The cell processor is an awesome chip. Can you imagine what they'll be able to do with it in a few years?
You may want to pick up your system today and do a price match when they go down in price (most stores will match for 30 days). If this is true and the news hits, systems may be hard to find. You can always not open it and return it if the price cut turns out to be false.
Are they going to start making 60 GB systems without the PS2 emotion engine chips (once they sell out)? I thought the whole point was to get the new model out because it costs them less to make? Still a lot of questions.

Even if this now means MS will break even or lose money on every system, just think of what the average 360 owner will buy:
1-3 games $60 each
Xbox Live Gold $50
Xbox Live Arcade Games ($5 to $15 each)
Steering Wheel or HD DVD attachment $100-$200
Extra Controller $50
Movies & TV shows $3-$5 each
This would be a genius move by them. They make more money after the system is sold than they do when someone buys a 360.

Kudos to you for actually making good points and not just screaming childish lines like “Microsoft sucks!” As an 360 fan, trust me, I’ve had my share of downs this week too!

That is a lot of money ($670, if my converter is right). What does a normal 360 premimum cost in the UK?
I'll use my PS3 or 360 to play these types of games. The only time I turn on my Wii now is when other people are over and we want to play bowling.
Still, Metroid Prime on GC was pretty good, but I don't think I can go back after playing Resistance & Gears of War.
