My wallet is already hurting. Bioshock is going to be huge, coming close to Gears of War in my opinion. It is getting fantastic reviews.

I don't work for Microsoft, in fact I run my own business that is outside of the industry altogether. I have every system, including a PS3 & Wii. I just present the facts and it usually gets you Sony boys all riled up.

I got scammed with my PS3, you all did too. Sony used its loyal gamers to advance its Blu-ray agenda. The fact is: Sony left the DVD group because it wants to make more royalties with its own format. Sony’s greed is the reason for the format war.

Counting PS3, there are 5 Blu-ray players for every 1 HD DVD player. The Blu-ray group outspends the HD DVD group 10 to 1.

And yet, Blu-ray only enjoys a 2 to 1 software lead? What does that tell us?

HD DVD is capturing the hardcore movie enthusiast, people who buy a lot of movies. Blu-ray is totally supported by PS3, and the sheer numbers are giving it an early advantage. But HD DVD is better setup for the mass market with cheaper players, the combo format and a...

The average creidt card costs the consumer over $300 in interest & fees over its lifetime. This is a scam deal.

HD DVD is a losing format? It has a bigger market-share than PS3. HD DVD players sell better than Blu-ray players. That's a losing format?

Whatever.. go watch your Blu-rays...

HD DVD players are not buggy and combos work just fine.

There is information about these models that won’t be talked about in the press, but may play a big part in the format war. First, these new models are smaller than any current Blu-ray or HD DVD players, they come close to regular DVD players in size. But the biggest thing is the cost of manufacturing is greatly reduced on these models, putting HD DVD in position to be the price leader and it will likely lead to $199 street prices, considered to be the “hot zone” for mass-market adoption.

If you say HD DVD is dead with a 38% market share, then PS3 must really be dead with less then 20% market share.

The Blu-ray group is outspending the HD DVD group 10 to 1 and all they can manage is a 62% market share? This is a huge victory for HD DVD! And here come cheaper HD DVD players…

The developer already said this will likely happen. Details have leaked out in more than one story. It's being developed by another team and it will come out a few months after the PS3 version.

Not much doubt in my mind... I don't see what the big deal is, its still a good game comming to PS3 as a timmed exclusive.

PS3 is losing money for Sony at the same time it's killing standalone Blu-ray player sales. The new November spec calls for new mandatory hardware to be added to Blu-ray players to encode picture in picture (a feature HD DVD already does). This will make most 1st generation Blu-ray players obsolete. Meanwhile, the Blu-ray promotional group is outspending the HD DVD group by a 10 to 1 margin, yet all they can manage is a 2:1 sales lead?

Oh yeah, things are looking great for Blu-...

The math is the math, I didn't make it up! Sony has to prove they can beat Xbox for more than one month (the month they dropped the price!).

So let me ask you a question: Microsoft dropped the price of the HD DVD drive and sales went up 1333% on Amazon. Is anyone claiming victory for HD DVD? No, they have to prove it for a few months. Same with PS3, prove it for a few months and then I’ll start believing.

Sony PS3 outsold Xbox 360 by a little less than 50,000 units in July. At this rate, it would take PS3 over eight years to catch up to Microsoft's Xbox 360.

You can disagree all you want, but that is the math.

Dude, both formats have about 265 movies released (they are usually within 10 of each other). The studio support is about the same if you ask me. It doesn’t matter how many studios you have on a list, when it comes to actually studio support with movies, it’s the same.

Why would you buy Blu-ray? It’s $200-$300 more. No web features. No Picture in Picture. The spec isn’t done yet!

With Xbox 360 undercutting PS3 for games, HD DVD undercutting PS3 for movies and Sony still losing $200 on every unit sold... it's going to be a very difficult holiday for Sony & Blu-ray.

The fundamental flaw with Blu-ray’s strategy is that people still know a good value when they see it. Despite the press spin, HD DVD players are still selling better than Blu-ray players because they do pretty much the same exact thing, but at a better price. With the new Blu-ray spec in November requiring extra hardware, the prospect of cheaper Blu-ray players weakens and Sony has already stated the PS3 will go back to $599 (the lose $200 on each system sold at the moment). It appears that H...

If you can’t stop talking about the “size of your disc”…. You might be a Blu boy!

If you watch High-def on a GAME SYSTEM and then say HD DVD interactivity is overrated…. You might be a Blu boy!

If you say web features are overrated, then brag about PS3’s included Wi-Fi…. You might be a Blu boy!

If you say HD DVD is dead with a 33% market share, yet PS3 is “on track” with a 20% market share…. You might be a Blu boy!
