SD is 307,200 pixels (640x480).
HD is 921,600 (1280x720).
FullHD is 2,073,600 (1920x1080).
As you can PLAINLY see, the jump between PS2 to PS3 was a difference of 614,400 pixels. And that's assuming the IP is even 720p at all.
Now compare the jump between 360/PS3 to a normal 1080 PC display; it's a difference of 1,152,000 pixels. You call that an incremental gain? It's almost double the fidelity. Don't need to be a graphics who...
Hells yeah! Best part of all, if your rig handles this with no problem (it's a resource hog in DX11), then you'll have no issues with BF3 or anything else. I always find it's better to PLAY benchmarks than to look at 'em :D

Droids suck because anything non-Sony is inferior quality. They conclude if you criticize Sony in any way, shape, or form you must be a fanboy of a different platform. Free from the restraints of the consoles, the environments look absolutely gorgeous. The gameplay looks aces and now I find out it's heavily influenced by Bioshock AND Bladerunner? Sign me up!! And like Rapture the IP features a city with an interesting juxtaposition between the steampunk slums of the lower levels to the sunlight and flora of the upper wealthy side. If they manage to pull it off, Day 1 like BF3.

Take mediocre games like AvP or Homefront which are subHD on consoles and play them in pristine DX11 on PC. You'll never play a multiplat on anything else but PC again. Hell you can pretty much play anything with a controller if you dislike K/M.

Gamesharing is the shit on PSN. Only Warhawk and Socom Confrontation can't be played by non-purchasing accounts. It's like receiving 4 gifts on every piece of DLC bought. I got every mappack for KZ3 & COD and never paid a dime for them.
Like many above have stated, C2 looks like ASS on consoles. I rented both versions to see which was better. After a good laugh I ended up buying it on PC. Honestly, did you have fun trying to discern blocky polygons from blurry textures? N4G is like a bunch of Mr. Magoos arguing over an analog signal when the rest of us R watching digital....
Cost was the single biggest reason to pirate software. Thanks to digital downloadable services (and the growing competition between them) it's cheaper than ever. And if there's no demo available, then youtube some gameplay footage. Piracy is for cheap scumbags who have no patience.
