EA didn't ruin boxing games, the sport of boxing itself did. Sleazy promoters, corruption, greed, lack of enforcing decisions made by boxing entities, too many weight classes diluting the talent pool, etc... Burt Sugar and other boxing journalists have been lamenting these detrimental factors long before the appearance of even Mike Tyson's Punchout, so one can't place the blame on EA this time.
You aren't alone brah; I have never pirated anything as well. Not one song; I won't even watch a movie at a friend's house if I know it's a burnt copy. Good to see some other people have a moral center in this land of Sodom and Gomorrah called the internet.
with 16 bit sprites, rest on your laurels for a decade, regurgitate the same IP over another 10 years in a series of remakes, remixes, and reboots, and you've got the recipe for Japanese game development.
Want proof? Look no further than Nintendo and the 3DS. Their launch lineup consists of 1 reboot and 3 remakes.
Using his bastard sword, he could dismember foes with the best of 'em. Decapitations, cleaving people in half, cross slicing torsos at the waist, limbs littering the battlefield like rain drops in a hurricane.....good times. But you're right, not many people will recall him from all his dreamcast glory
Originally, TLG had a summer release date (July) according to Gamestop. Now, they're using a generic placeholder date of 12/2/2011. I know people hate the company, but I generally find their internal dates pretty accurate.
Now I agree w/ TM and Ratchet, but I think we're all being a little too optimistic at seeing TLG release anywhere but Japan in the calendar year. Maybe by the end of the 2011 FISCAL year.
Not on this site.
And in other news, the sky is blue. Really now guys, should this even come as a surprise when you compare install bases?
EDIT: and now that I think about it, what's my reward? Getting a map I played for the 1st time almost 6 years ago! I feel like such a winner /s
They had a stellar year in software from beginning to end. I agree, Ninty had the best 2010. IMO, 360 2006-07, PS3 2008-09, Wii 2010. And ya know the funny thing, of all those great titles, I was most surprised how much fun I had playing Kirby with my youngest son. Wasn't expecting that. Prince Fluff FTW!
Because it's something intangible and can't be physically held, you condone electronic theft? WOW! Then you resort to some 12 yr old fanboy slinging poop like a monkey and call him a hippie.
Well, guess I'm glad to be a hippie too. Too old when the kiddies discovered Napster and I can easily afford the movies or games I want. So no, I never have electronically stole anything. And you can spare me the "stones N glass houses" line.
Maybe ...
Ace Combat:AH, KZ3, Bulletstorm, Dragon Age2, and Marvel vs. Capcom3 all set to drop by 2/22
While it isn't scarier than its predecessor, it did a better job of creating a creepy ambiance than I expected. Frozen pipes cracking, necros busting out of cryogenic tubes behind you, and decent lighting add a surprising tension to the atmosphere.
And dare I say it, if the demo is any indication of the graphical fidelity of the game, it's easily one of the best looking 360 games on the system.
P.S. We even see Issac's face and hear him speak. No ...
Uhh....WTF are you talking about? He stars in an ABC crime drama "Castle" where he plays an author trading comedic barbs with his female cop co-star Becket. Jesus Christ if that ain't on-the-job training, then what is it?
And did I see someone actually thought 3 Kings was a good movie?
Hell hath no fury like the scorn of a woman.
I keep seeing this nonsense being posted here. Dead Space and Mirror's Edge were both new IPs. Rarely do new titles perform like Gears did sales-wise. And yet both sold almost 2.5mil across PC/PS3/360 platforms. They were ONLY a disappointment to EA and their over bloated internal forecasts. Like DS was ever gonna outsell RE5.
They should count their blessings they didn't opt to make these IPs on-rails experiences for the Wii.
Maybe you two though should learn to have a sense of humor. Do you see me fly off the handle every time I see a fat, obese American wielding uzis joke here? So calm down, this is N4G, not the UN.
He does NOT say HL2 is an on-rails experience.
Some douche implied KZ2 was an on-rails experience since the story and the gameplay was linear. He used HL2, Silent Hill, and Bioshock among others to illustrate how pacing correlates to the story arc, giving rise to climax, ambiance, etc...
He also addressed open-world sandbox games and why sometimes when pacing a narrative, they oftentimes serve to emotionally disconnect the gamer. His argument is valid and his...
But I grabbed a copy of AC:Brotherhood @ KMART the other day & got a $20 gift card. They also have a special this week: buy a 160gig PS3 and receive a free copy of AC:B. Bought the PS3, returned the standalone copy, used the store credit on another game, and got to keep the gift card.
They also got Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit for $39.99 this week as well (for both consoles).
A very mediocre game made palatable by the inclusion of MOVE support. Considering the Big 3 will never embrace the K/M configuration on consoles, the RTS genre as a whole is noticeably better with it.
RE5 was unplayable for me with a DS3/360 pad. The frustration factor of the control scheme offset any enjoyment I derived from playing it. Like RE4, motion controls were the only way I could complete the game.
So I disagree with your opinion. And for good meas...
Unfortunately, there were thousands who weren't. They just spammed Big Red from GR11 to 15 then wondered why they couldn't complete quests like Miner Problems or Heat Waves wearing a complete set of Generals. Don't even get me started w/ the noobs spammin Demon's Aura at the start of a fight while they had aggro :)
Spear owned everything. M.P. was the only quest a Spear couldn't solo. Judging the changes made to the classes for 2, SSers will be the new fav...

Maybe some honorable mentions like Kameo, Trials HD, etc. Honestly, the unique experiences found on the 360 are fewer in total than on the other platforms, but to summarily dismiss these few (and some are gems) with such fanboyish clairvoyance...
And yes Mastiff, I believe players will grow weary of the nut shot kill after it's been done 1000 times in the game. Never know though, co-op could be the wildcard here.
You brought up Vanquish while I'll use Sega's earlier offering, The Club. I've played both. And aside from both being published by Sega, know what else they share in common? The replay value is practically non-existent. Time-attack modes and competing for high scores (in non-racing genres) no...
