They do need to grow up with the rest of the games industry. The Wii was a one-off gimmick that struck a chord with casuals. The Wii U won't do well with technology already 5 years outdated and no Wiimote level gimmick.
Where other companies are pushing boundaries of technology and design, Nintendo sticks to formulas developed in the N64 era. Where's the Pokemon MMO that is so obvious a genre fit? Hell I'll take just a regular console RPG. Imo it all really just ...
The answer is no.
The Wii U fully deserves dismissal if we're talking about modern computer hardware. Nintendo is once again a full generation behind in technology and charging full price for it. Specs are like a damned netbook. 2GB DDR3 with half reserved for OS? You have got to be kidding.
Planetside2 port at launch and they're golden. Nothing else in Sony's arsenal could do more damage to XBL and it's an easy move.
Planetside 2 would make the perfect f2p launch game. If there's one thing in Sony's arsenal to take away Microsoft's shooter playing XBL base, that would be it. And once you have the core, you get the majority on multiplat sales.
I'm completely fine with this if Sony/MS and publishers pull their heads out of their asses on pricing digital download content. Follow the PC gaming model of competition.
2013 Season confirmed for NFL.
CGI graphics is a meaningless term considering CGI keeps getting better with time. Current CGI will always exceed current games based on the fact that you're rendering hours per screen vs. 30-60fps.
Better not be the same experience. It's just impossible to replicate the precision and speed of CS with a controller. Either they're going to play very differently or PC gamers will be very, very angry. Might be the same game visually but auto aiming controllers is not the same experience.
It would be nice to have that kind of cash to throw away. A comparable desktop costs about 1/4 of that.
Planned as in already have the content made that they intend to charge you extra for upon launch?
I must have this. Getting so close to the matrix...
Pre-ordered with their $15 off deal a few months ago. It's a toss up I guess.
Simple - Don't be f*cking scrub.
No that would just get them out of the mid-90s.
Apples may lose to oranges.
Far more advanced technology at the same price. Your move, Nintendo.
So when is it coming to real PC?
Can't say I really care at this point. Final Fantasy needs to just completely reinvent itself after XIII. Never seen such a beautiful game that was so painful to actually play.
I hope they fail miserably. Under that cutesy exterior they're one of the most greedy and cynical game companies.
