Well I think by now we all know that game sales have little correlation to quality.
Absolutely the truth. The Wii has been nothing but a cash cow. Nintendo has raked in billions from ignorant masses falling for a gimmick. While all they were really selling is a repackaged and overpriced Gamecube. It wouldn't even be that bad if Nintendo reinvested the money into making tons of hardcore games and new franchises yet we've seen absolutely nothing unexpected.
So no demos or downloadable games of any size.... good job continually staying a generation behind Nintendo. I mean the freaking Xbox had an 8GB HDD.
No Sony and Microsoft were wrong. They both wrongly assumed that giving their customers a good system with modern games would make them money. Turns out all they needed to do was repackage the PS2/Xbox and add a gimmick to it.
Hopefully JRPGs will make a comeback with the new handhelds. Sadly just not worth it for developers to make them on consoles anymore.
I remember seeing those stickers on freaking Gamecube games.
On the Wii? What a shame.
Personally I actually agree. I've never had more fun in my life than playing Halo1 coop and LAN with my friends for years.
Halo2 on the other hand was just utter garbage that ruined the series. Campaign was especially terrible and if you played Halo1 LAN competitively like I did you could not enjoy Halo2's unbalanced weapon whoring lag-fest.
Should be a 50/50 whether you get a moderate bonus or your character is deleted and humanity made extinct.
Winning!
Well I don't think anyone would expect a refund for a being offline a week. Some extra free/cheap games for PS Plus would be nice though.
Nintendo's strategy at this point seems to be minimizing costs for hardware and software to the point where nothing new or risky is done. And then of course massively overcharging for everything. With the amount of money made off the Wii and DS Nintendo could've bought up half the game studios in existence and subsidized a top of the line HD console.
But based on their track record; expect a console that barely surpasses the 5/6 year old hardware of PS3/360, priced j...
Would be nice if they didn't make us pay $40 again.
What idiot wrote this misleading article? Clock speed is about the last thing you look at in modern GPUs. Unless you're comparing 2 cards with the same chipset architechture it's quite meaningless.
First look? Heard all of this before. But yeah.... can. not. wait!
Finally hit the price it should've been at launch. $249 for a repackaged Gamecube was probably the biggest rip-off in gaming hardware history. If anyone forgot the Gamecube was down to $99 in 2003.
Are grammar important?
Once again producing a console 4 years behind in technology.
Anyone else reminded of the Daleks by that second screen?
This was more like an ad than a review. People need to stop buying this DLC garbage and maybe they'll lower the damned price. Cost of 4 map packs = 1 entire game. You think they put even 1/10th the effort into making 16 maps as what went into the base game? STOP FUELING THEIR GREED!
