Yeah, I read something about Naughty Dog looking for devs with PC based experience. Might not mean anything but could be in relation to bringing older titles to PC or perhaps even TLoU 2.
If the former, then I can imagine the original Last of Us or even the old Uncharted series. If the latter, I'd imagine it would be a long way off (years) after the PS release.
Good point!
They should have released the remastered version late last year or something. It's not like doing that would damage the PS brand, what with it being so long after the original's release.
@Obscure_Observer
Yeah, I see what you mean but Death Stranding's release timeframe is a bit of an exception. The PC version was always planned, Kojima mentioned it a few times before work even started. There even used to be the little PC logo on his KP website.
It was only when Sony stepped in later on that the PC version talk went silent but that didn't mean Kojima's plans had changed, just that they didn't want to shout it from the ro...
Yeah, I think the people that are upset should remember that it's highly unlikely the PC versions will release soon after the PS ones.
There's no conflict here, no betrayal imho. I simply don't see PC as a direct competitor to consoles, especially if the PC versions come out 2-3 years later. I mean, if Ghosts of Tsushima and TLoU2 turn out to be amazing, who wants to wait years to play them? Not that I'm saying both those will come to PC of course.
Great news. I've never thought of PC as being a direct competitor with consoles anyway, especially if the games come out 3-5 years after they've already been out on PS. Lots of upset Sony fans on Twitter (but then again that's what Twitter is all about) but I can't understand their mentality.
Oh, and before someone mentions that Death Stranding is coming out less than a year after release, that's probably because Kojima had planned on a PC release from...
Excellent! Both the Namco titles were well made and felt like Warhammer. They were similar to the old classics Shadow of the Horned Rat and Dark Omen. I'd love more WFB (original style) games like those.
The Total War games do their own kind of thing (which is fine) but the units in those other games moved and acted more in accordance with Warhammer rules. In fact, the campaigns in those games played much more like the tabletop too, imho.
Yep, sadly underrated and overlooked.
Ha, that is kinda funny, I didn't stop to think of how silly it sounds when put like that.
I like the safe rooms to be, er, safe simply because when you're going through the game for the first time it's nice to be able to stop and figure out what you want from the item chest.
I think having Nemesis barge in when I'm simply trying to decide whether to take the extra shotgun shells or the 1st aid spray would just be irritating, rather than an extra layer of challenge or tension. You'd run away and lose him, just to have to turn back and go to the c...
Thanks for the spoiler :s
'I was too busy looking at Jim's crabs'. Around 17:25.
Tsk, tsk. Rule 1 of any undead apocalypse, deal with the zombies FIRST, pubic lice afterwards.
How long before someone says, 'A dodge move? More action? Damn it, they're going back to Resi 6!' ?
Holy crap, I had no idea there were that many studios. What the hell are they all doing?
Heh, yeah, at this rate even Valve will be releasing games at a higher rate.
Yeah, it's like you say. Also, the devs are making the age-old mistake of assuming downloads = missed sales.
When pirating a game is as easy as going to a site and clicking a link for all the latest releases, people end up pirating just for the sake of it.
Most games aren't played and those that are often end up being played for a short while and then not touched again until the person needs to uninstall to clear disk space.
"If you pirate games, you're as low as they get".
Yeah, forget those rapists and murderers man, copyright infringement is just THE worst ;)
Besides, did you even read what you wrote? You basically said that people not having the money to buy a game isn't an excuse for them to not pay the developers and buy the game. What?
Maybe the game mainly attracted fans of the single-player versions; people who may want to add co-op when they feel like it but otherwise are happy with a wide open sp style experience.
Oh, I agree with you when it comes to bugs, though I was lucky not to encounter any of note. Anyway, I don't even consider a game with bugs to be merely something that needs 'improving'. In other words, bugs aren't in need of improvement, they shouldn't be there at all, you know?
My point was that the article, after quickly mentioning the bugs, lists actual design choices and gameplay elements that 'need' to change, as if the things in question...
Well, all sequels seek to improve.
However, I think using the word 'needs' is, once again, the usual click-bait crap. It implies that the first game was somehow substandard or got a free pass from glaring errors and that if the sequel was of a similar quality it would be be in big trouble or couldn't still be a good game. I say that's bs.
Yeah, I see what you mean. It'll all depend on how many people are willing to wait and how long for.
For example, how many people who wanted to play Death Stranding decided to wait for the PC release? I did (because I wasn't that excited by it) but my brother didn't. He was day one and taking time off work for it.
Also, how many who have waited would still do so if the release was another year or two away?
It'd be int...
