Hmm, I wouldn't want to spoil anything for anyone but, playing devil's advocate, the storyline and one specific gameplay design choice is so controversial that it could be argued it'll save people some money.

I know it saved me mine :) Ghosts is now the next PS title that I'm focused on.

It's hard to know exactly what you've already heard but the new leaks reveal pretty much ALL the major plot points and yeah, it's gonna be a love/hate thing. It's much more than just the sjw stuff.

I predict most people won't like it but that's just my best guess after all.

Yeah, but the silver lining is that many will save their hard earned cash now. To say the story is controversial is an understatement. Mass Effect 3's ending is gonna seem like calm waters in comparison, imho.

Yeah, Druckmann might be making a big mistake here. I think it was better when there were three designers at the top, keeping each other in check.

Having seen the spoilers and read the storyline, I'm not sure people do know the premise of the game - depending on exactly what that means for most, or course.

Troy Baker was right, it'll be a love/hate kinda thing. I think it could have more backlash than even the ME3 ending.

Having read the spoilers, it's way beyond any extreme I thought could be written. Divisive? Sure but I hate it and can't see more than 20% of the original fans liking it. Just a guess obviously and I could easily be wrong but seriously...

I think you're giving them way too much credit Dragon :) I don't see them as experts, at least the vast majority of them anyway.

They're just gamers with sufficient writing skills and for some it won't even be their main hobby. Many will have had far less experience than you or I.

Add to that some of them admitting they rush games to get reviews out or are bringing politics into things and you end up in a situation where the 'laymen&...

Yeah, it definitely has a slow start. It's a shame it put people off as I felt it got better and better.

Well, I didn't read all the reviews but I did see about 5-6 that did, as you say, come down hard because of bizarre social politics reasons.

In the end, that's all it takes to stop the meta creeping up a tad to a fairer and more accurate score, imo. It was a shame.

Imho some did - especially those who, bizarrely, brought social politics into the equation.

I really enjoyed it and think it deserved a higher meta score.

Yeah, these announcements could do with some new in-game footage of actual gang members, even if it's just a brief glimpse.

Maybe, after all the accusations of downgrades with Witcher 3, they decided to really keep things close to their chest.
