Wow, the comments on the youtube page went downhill fast. I guess I shouldn't be surprised though.

Yeah, stealth took longer than killing everyone but with the two types of playthrough combined it added overall playtime. It was still short though, especially if you consider that many players might not want to play through twice.

I was impressed at how morbid and grim the 'kill everything' playthrough was; it actually made me feel slightly bad about my brutality. A few key characters really treat you differently if you slaughter everyone and l felt like I'...

Typical trash journalism. Cliff never said anything about regretting it; it was a cost based decision. What an intentionally misleading headline.

It seems to be made purely to insinuate that Cliff 'regrets it' simply because the author of the article apparently thinks he should, the condescending git.

I agree, I just watched 5mins of gameplay and I feel these requirements are indeed hefty, even for 60fps.

Also, Windows 10? For DX11? At least Quantum Leap had the excuse of using DX12.

I see what you mean but at the same time, no one HAS to buy a $600 monitor just to play.

I know Luckey doesn't want to 'dilute' the experience but if there were a lesser priced VR set that could play on a lesser PC then people wouldn't feel like they've had the door slammed in their face after all these years of hype.

It's just a big disappointment for most people and it could have been avoided if they'd been more up front about ...

Pubescent teens? I've always found it's the old and/or grumpy, or SJW's of course, that are less likely to appreciate or understand different cultures.

Just because one comes from a different culture doesn't mean one can't appreciate said culture.

I often like Japanese media in this regard; ever since I discovered Nicky Larson back in France in the early 1990's. I often find it quirky, oddball and light-hearted and Mika's butt-s...

@Omar91

Maybe it will be like Ground Zeroes? You simply re-play missions at a higher setting rather than starting a whole new campaign and choosing the difficulty right at the start.

I'd go look for details but I don't want to stumble across spoilers.

Oh, I see, fair enough :)

@ inveni0

That's totally cool and I've got no problem with that. I hope you enjoy the game thoroughly whichever way you want to play it.

I just think it's a shame that an option is being locked for those who like if different when it serves no positive purpose.

@ tmh3593

Nah, it was because the enemies weren't aware enough. I try to avoid fights anyway since I like to stealth.

On the occasions when you do get into firefights and say 'what the hell' let's shoot these guys, you're able to take on loads of people.

Big Boss heals pretty quick, has a fair amount of health and the enemies don't flank much.

When I played on Hard though, enemies spot you much quicke...

3839d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah but, with respect, you could do that anyway even if Hard was available from the off. Simply choose Normal, complete and then choose Hard.

That's the way I feel too.

For big games (30 hours+) I like to get stuck in and challenge myself straight away because there are so many other games to play that I doubt I'll replay it for a long while, if ever. Especially since I'm a completionist and will most likely put 80+ hours into MGSV; they said there's a potential 100 hours.

Also, for people who do like playing through again straight away on a harder setting, they could just choose N...

I don't understand why some people feel that MS backing down on 'always online' now means single player games can't make use of the cloud and that consumers are missing out on MS's 'vision' and it's their own fault.

You can have a single player online only game without the console itself needing to be online or checking in as MS wanted.

Look at Diablo 3, largely a single player game and always online.

Just ...

Agreed.

They probably suspected that people assumed there would be a 3-6 month delay before the PS4 release and they wanted to ram home the fact that it will, in fact, be a year - a big deal for some people.

In other words they're saying, 'Don't think you're getting Tomb Raider a few weeks later, oh no, it's gonna be a whole year. You sure you don't wanna get that XB1 for Christmas?'

3859d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Haha, yes, you're right, so many characters to choose from. Would be hilarious.

I myself would choose The Boss ;)

You don't want to know what I mis-read that as....:s

Looks like a darker, overcast version of Rage.

Hard to tell how well the the demons would have fit in seeing as though there were none in the screenshots.

Maybe they'll re-use these assets for something. Hard to believe all that work is just gonna be dumped.

Ah, the gaming community at it's finest.

A guy states objective facts, doesn't insult anyone, compliments and is happy for people using other platforms.....and still gets a ton of downvotes.

They called it Uber for ages but until finally settled on using the word Ultra instead.

I think people went through the pre-load XML files and discovered what kind of AA it was. You'll have to google it since I can't remember, soz.

@HammadTheBeast

Whilst I respect your right to your opinion, I have to say I find it astounding that you can compare watching adult entertainment showing performers engaging in sex (sex, fantasy and arousal being some of the most natural things in life), with taking potentially fatal drugs.

If you're gonna make such extreme comparisons and say that what people may like is bad because 'hey, people like heroin too but they shouldn't do it', then...
