Well, you're saying it's no big deal and that stopping the coverage was a bit extreme.....so it seems we're on the same page to be honest :)
I could, though I'm not really going to bother, also argue that Dead Or Alive is rated Mature so what are kids doing watching this particular segment? No need for them to watch since they're not allowed to have the game, right?
Anyway, I'll simply add that me and my friends would have laughed...
My sentiments too. As long as they focus on SP to the same degree as right now, they can do what they want MP-wise.
I thought the first boss fight was a bit mediocre due to the way you end up just running in circles like a Benny Hill sketch but apart from that my only issue was with the difficulty settings. Otherwise, it's a great game and I was amazed they gave us some mini missions as free DLC :)
Anyway, about the difficulties.
Normal was too straight forward and, more than anything, lacked the tension of the original due to unlimited saves. No need to worry ab...
Wow, is that it?
These are adults having a laugh - in both clips. No one is being abused or coerced, no one is ripping off their clothes and strutting about nude. In fact, the women seem to be the main instigators too as they appear to have way more personality than the guys with them. I also doubt kids who saw this were somehow scarred for life; they probably thought it was hilarious.
These seem like some fairly over-protective and puritanical rules,...
Imo, no, they can't.
They're more like wannabee left-wing political sites that focus on games because it's the only thing they know a little something about.
Funny thing is, despite their claims/demands of diversity and social justice in gaming, they're mainly all self-righteous white men.
Awful site.
I love how they dramatically say, 'and, worse, problematic'. Like 'problematic' actually means anything serious at all.
When used in this kind of context it simply means, 'I'm not happy because I've decided to view this game in the worst way possible and imagine that it will have a terrible impact on society and the people who play it.'
Yeah, I remember Desert Strike and The Immortal from Megadrive times in particular. Most of my fond memories of EA though are from the years I had a Commodore 64.
It's sad to see a company that was there from pretty much the beginning turn into what it is today and it's even worse to see them drag down or abandon franchises like Command and Conquer, Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Dead Space. The interesting single-player Star Wars that must have been quite far in dev...
Yeah, me too. I took a long time to accept Steam, being an older gamer who believed in owning a game 'in my hands', so to speak.
However, a combination of the community (with various news, tips and, most importantly, user reviews), Steam sales, the ability to find old classics (like UFO Enemy Unknown) and ease of use for online gaming meant that once I started my Steam library it really felt like something that belonged to me.
It's my collect...
To be fair to the guy, seeing as though so many people are calling them a thief, I think it's only right to point out that it's actually copyright infringement.
Remember when people recorded stuff they weren't supposed to keep on VHS? When they had their own copies of movies taken from TV? That was, in many circumstances, copyright infringement. No one in their right mind though, back in the day, would have gone into the home of those people and said, '...
I was really surprised by their reasons.
'Massive amount of work?'. It's usually just dialogue options and voice over work, something they're doing all day long anyway. It's still work, sure, but I'm surprised they'd call it massive.
'little payoff'. Really? That depends on a persons perspective. Some players absolutely love romance options and find it a big part of their overall RPG experience.
I'm not fussed either way.
I've never understood people's obsession with the option of being able to kill everyone but I've nothing against them including it.
I think they did a fantastic job with this game BUT I have to say I was disappointed by the difficulty settings. Normal is a breeze in general and the lack of ribbon system takes most of the intensity away from it since you're never in any danger of losing progress. Therefore I found myself not even caring what was around the corner.
I quit my playthrough as I left the Police Station since I wasn't enjoying it. I restarted on Hardcore. Immediately the 'class...
Agreed. As a basic rule of thumb, previews are like reviews with a point or two added on, so if the preview reads like a 7? It really was one underwhelming preview, especially for such a big title from such a big website.
Previews usually play nice and try to only pick out the best stuff. Even if they can't pick out exciting things they still often put things in an encouraging way. You know, 'This element has potential to be fun', 'I can see how maybe pe...
Ah, live and let live. No one is being forced to watch them and game developers aren't changing their games because of them, sheesh.
Honestly, I'm kinda envious (not jealous ;) ) these girls can make cash this way, good luck to them. Once you've spent a couple of decades trying to makes ends meet, it's hard to be judgmental about people like this making some relatively easy dough.
To be fair, Fallout was awful but I'm guessing that it wasn't a disappointment for a lot of people because there was a lot of hate for it before it even came out. Many people felt it was a Fallout no one asked for. That's the key thing here.
Hype for RDR2 on the other hand was easily bigger than for any other game last year. Biggest hype for this generation is definitely arguable though, so the title is a tad sensationalist in that regard.
Firstly, I think it's important to remember that this guy isn't saying it's the worst game of the generation, just that, given the huge expectations this game had, it's possibly the biggest disappointment. It's simply a testament to how much hype this game gathered over the years.
Anyway, I agree generally speaking. The actual gameplay mechanics are just too archaic to be really fun. It's not a terrible game, but given the colossal resources at R*...
To be fair, manipulating facts is kinda essential if you want to get into politics. Most of the others just do it with more finesse, that's all :)
I think many would feel you're being generous there starchild.
I was gonna write about the games but No_Pantaloons took care of that.
All I'll add with regards to the company is that virtually all the people that took Bioware to the big leagues of story driven rpgs (which sadly backfired since it led to them being bought by EA) have long since moved onto other things. It's been Bioware in name only for quite some time, imho.
I don't think there was anything revolutionary as such. The mechanics and systems were all things we've seen before in other games. In fact, lots of people disliked combat and the emphasis on 'simulation' so I doubt there was anything revolutionary there.
What they did do though was what they've always claimed nobody is better at - make a fantastically detailed open world. However, making arguably the largest, most atmospheric and intricate open world...
Bioware isn't in decline so much as it isn't actually Bioware anymore. The people who made the games that gave it the status it has left long ago now. That Bioware ended with all the titles that people loved under it's belt and the new developers don't even seem to want to make the type of game it used to be famous for.
'New Bioware', as it has been since the transitional title ME3, is in effect a new entity.....and it hasn't got a great track ...
