Did a Pacific Theater, the game was mediocre, but how is it that everyone doesn't remember this, it wasn't like it was from some no-name series, it's Medal of Honor, the series that spawned a nook of WW2 shooters?
people are dumping it because it's an FPS, in my opinion it's a genre, that's like saying RPG's are getting stale, or Fighting games are getting old, which is fine because I've heard that, but my point is that some people (like me) will eat up shooters, as long as it's average or better, I'll buy....keep 'em comin'.....No different than a fan of RPG's or a fan of Racing games etc...There's enough slow evolvement in the genre to keep things fresh IMO.
MOH-Pacific Assault was released a few years ago, to luke-warm reviews and results....I have it on Xbox 1, so it's been done before, but perhaps not too well.
I think we as gamers have a tendency to rate and review a game at just the mere thought of it, long before any work is done on it, just because that's an empowering sensation. To say Yay or nay on the idea of a game, or rumor of a game, makes people feel they know games so well. There are way too many flops and pleasant surprises in this industry (and the movie industry) for us to be so psychic in nature...a screen shot or a news bulletin really means jack in terms of the end product. a sequels already in the works, but for what other than the pc is unknown to me, I'd assume the 360 would get it too.
but the reviews I saw on them were a tad too lenient...they were "good" games, but not 10's or 9.5's.....that's just too much. But that's my opinion. I agree Perfect Dark and GoldenEye were true revolutions, and are still better games to this day.
a true Perfect Dark sequel, one that could finally be a next gen equivalent to the original. How could anybody turn down a 10.0 rated new Perfect Dark with tons of innovations and replay?
