Developer A made Action Game first on the Nintendo DS, then ported it over to the PS3 after it was done. Consumers hated it because the PS3 version looked horrid.
Developer B made Action Game 2 the sequel on the PS3 first, and ported it then to the DS, both games looked amazing for their correlating capabilities.

I went to an Art Institute and have a degree in media and graphic design, these things are in the pipeline for a long time. Nobody has any source to tell them how old each design is, who knows which actually came first, release dates of the packaging/poster do not equate to the birth date of the concept. which is why in parenthesis I put that MS and gaming is something else. I guess I was just speaking from a marketing standpoint solely from HD formats, not from games. As just a BD player, Sony doesn't have to be so cut throat now; as gaming is concerned, it's just as pivotal as ever though, you're right.
this is a time that with the victory of Blu, it might be in their interest (financially) to actually use that fact to NOT drop prices. Here's why: they don't have any threats (except I guess digital downloads, maybe), with HD-DVD gone they have no threats to the market share. No threats means no risks are needed (risk being cutting prices) to compete, they have the court to themselves.
Winning the war may mean they have free reign over pricing as far as HD formats are concerned...

As far as the game comment, it's meant, IMO, to alude to the fact that many are not living up to their potential. It's not a sweeping statement that they are a tool of the sloth in my view but you have to admit, young America's waistline and intellectual output could use refinement, why would we settle or not expect our futures to be more promising? Look at other countries standardized test scores, etc... I played games in high school, watched tv, movies, etc....
came out on Xbox, I have it, only 1 didn't, but I've got that for PC. I played both also, but I prefer 1st person to 3rd in most cases. 3rd has to be done right (like Max Payne or Mercenaries). Hopefully they don't get overly creative and screw up the series, I'm looking forward to it though.
Now, if only No One Lives Forever 3 and Max Payne 3 would come out (c'mon Monolith and Remedy, get crackin') I'll be most satisfied with some good shooter sequels.

is superior to the original C & C series IMO, Red Alert 2 w/ Yuri's Revenge is the best RTS I've ever played. So much complexity, variety, and strategy. I messed around with the Final Alert 2 editor and the ".ini" files modding that game for hundreds of hours I'll bet. I have not played however C & C 3 yet though, so I can't judge it against that....

but I had only an xbox, and missed out on 7 years of PS2 gems, of course I could just get a bargain $99 PS2 but it'd be a hassle having yet another console to make room for and buy accessories for. Eh....
it's virtually the same game on both as everyone does, but the simple matter of principal of it being inferior to any degree still bothers me in a pety way, even though it shouldn't. Only because there's no excuse. We keep seeing this "PS3 version has visual issues with its...." and it's obnoxious, as we know they should be identical a la COD4. I'm however, interested in this game unlike it seems with most of you guys, I love shooters.

If you can't take the responsibility of raising a child through some moral and ethical values so that they don't end up in juvy or in a premature body bag, don't breed.
