That intriguing train shot, I'm sorry, but couldn't be done on a PS2 or Xbox 1 or Gamecube, have all 3, the draw distance/LOD, texturing and lighting alone is above anything on the last gens.

The Wii is NOT a GC, and the GC had arguably equal graphics as the PS2 and Xbox 1, depending on the game.

Anyone who's thoroughly read the article knows what was really said. Maybe the guy is fluffing his work some, maybe not, but we all know already the Wii lies somewhere in between last gen and this one technically, so for this guy to shoot above the grade on a system that nobody will touch for hardcore gam...
I may not disagree or agree (haven't), but I surmise that the old proof is that tech specs don't make the graphics, the dev's do...I agree with you in terms of comparisons, but comparisons are on paper, lets all just wait and see what gets put on the screens.
I'm with Durffen, it's all about spitting on the idea of "ANOTHER FPS on 360 etc... great"...before even knowing anything about the game. Okay. But then when it comes to the Wii, it's "the wrong platform". Which is it?
I think this is only good news. The other systems are getting loads more new FPS's, and probably another dev decided to do a new IP just while I was typing this.

Simply speaking as a game, I don't think anybody has the foresight to guarantee this game's, or any game's, success/quality. Nobody has that ability, conjecture is fun and bliss, but never 100% accurate, I reserve all judgement on ALL games until I play them myself, regardless of license/heritage. Why be so judgemental otherwise? Do you know how many movies I've seen the preview for that sucked and the movie was great? How many times have you seen somebody who looked "wierd" or like...
now this is one I'm anxious to read several reviews on (not undermining this single review, I'd say that no matter the source)...it's been very commercialized and has a lot of hype...hopefully it's not to disappoint

People need to stop thinking about what ethnicity some of the characters are and keep in mind how they look. C'mon, does the cartoon image of Chun Li appear chinese in the game? No. She looks caucasion...Does Ryu look Japanese? No. He looks caucasion....They all don't look like they should in the drawn versions, many of them look white. Just look at their avatars in SF2.

Apparently your opinion, as this is mine. I loved Transformers, Batman Begins, Superman Returns, Spiderman trilogy, X-Men trilogy, Resident Evil....but some not so much...Alone in the Dark sucked and I feel Hitman could have been a great movie done right.
I was actually disappointed, even as a big shooter fan...thought the story was decent, the graphics were great, audio was outstanding, but the gameplay was just weird. Different and innovative, yes, but out of 10 I'd have given the game a 7. It was simply "good" but not great.
